Dr Catarina Ang / Migynae

I attended this clinic for a hysteroscopy. An unknown male from the waiting room who was not a staff member was allowed into the procedure room twice while I was undergoing this procedure. I received no nursing care before, during or after the procedure leaving me anxious and concerned for my wellbeing. The nurse attending my procedure seemed to be someone working in reception and not a qualified gynaecological nurse, which was quite obvious. This is appalling as I have paid a high cost for a private clinic service and denied proper qualified nursing and patient care during what is a very painful and invasive procedure. I sent an email to the clinic two days ago to receive an explanation as to why an unknown male was allowed into my procedure with no prior consent by me, whilst I was semi naked and affected by anaesthetic pain relief gas and unable to speak for myself and have received no response. I am traumatised by my attendance at this clinic the other day where I should have been able to receive quality female health care in a safe space designed for women.

I have a referral to Migynae from my GP…. He spoke highly of this place but I think I’ll give it a wide berth due to the revue I just read ……and to put RV (prior reviewer) thru such a traumatic, unprofessional procedure with no care is quite questionable. No woman should be subjected to such treatment as we expect a positive, professional experience in a safe place.
I’ll let my GP know to not refer his patients here, very big red flags.

Administration team welcoming, professional, and clear communication on processes and appointment plan and fees. Dr Christine was comforting and approachable and made me feel assured and looked after my best interests. Highly recommended this clinic for treatment.

I would like to express my gratefulness for the warm care of Dr Tarana Lucky from the Migynae Consulting Suites. Immediately, I felt comfortable and supported from our first introduction that carried throughout the consultation and procedure. Dr Lucky provided me with ongoing education and reassurance and her high quality skills were evident during my treatment. Pain was absolutely minimal and was completed in a very timely fashion. Also, her friendly assisting nurse helped to distract me with her cheerful conversation and approachable demeaner. Thankyou both!

Dr Shami is incredible. I visited her for assistance with severe Endometriosis and she is a miracle-worker! I went in for surgery in early February and haven't had any issues since. It's clear she really cares about her work and patients, I couldn't have asked for a better doctor.

Could not be happier with Dr Shami and my experience so far at MiGynae. After several previous bad experiences with other gynaecologists and specialists I really feel like Dr Shami took the time to hear my concerns and issues and worked with me to come up with a holistic treatment plan rather than talking at me. I also really appreciate how consent based and trauma informed she is with examinations- something I’ve never had anywhere else before. She is also excellent at communicating with the rest of my current medical team and I do not have to chase up correspondence or results. I really feel like I am in good hands with a doctor who is passionate about what she does and has such a genuine care for her patients.

The receptionist Tina helped me so much more then words can describe, she is compassionate and empathic and really listened to my difficult situation and medical condition in difficult circumstances, she helped turn a difficult situation to a more bearable one, I can't thank her and the team enough I'm forever grateful for your support.

I can not speak highly enough of Dr Ang and her wonderful team. I was having serious complications which two hospitals overlooked. I had asked them to speak to Dr Ang and they did not provide her with an accurate reflection of how serious my condition was. Only once she called and spoke to me did she sense it and quickly had her schedule rearranged to fit me in. My life is so much better because of the extraordinary care I received pre and post surgery. The admin team have been welcoming and caring and I can not recommend them enough.

Dr Ang is an expert in endometriosis, she is a skilled surgeon that offers the gold star standard of excision laparoscopic surgery. In my surgery they used a gas bag to reduce shoulder tip pain, meaning I didn’t even have to deal with one of the most notoriously difficult elements of post-surgery recovery. It is details like this that are often not afforded to endometriosis patients, so I am grateful and privileged to have been able to receive my diagnosis from Dr Ang. Her administrative team was also very professional and understanding during one of the most difficult periods of my life.

Dr Ang has been treating me for the last 5 years for my severe stage 4 endometriosis and adenomyosis. Catarina is a kind, caring doctor at the top of her field, not only that, she is a brilliant surgeon - operating as minimally invasive as possible. I have had 4 laparoscopic surgeries and each time I feel I am in the safest possible hands. She communicates clearly and has genuine concern and care for my health. I recommend Dr Ang to those who are also suffering with these conditions, she is the best in her field. I would never see anyone else and trust her entirely. She is also an IVF fertility specialist, who works with a great team at City Fertility. We are now working very closely together through our IVF journey and again I would not want anyone else but Catarina by our side. IVF has brought its own challenges and I have felt nothing but love and kindness from Dr Ang during this process. She has become an important person in our lives, and we hold her with the highest regard.

Dr Ang is the best in the field. Highly professional, incredibly smart and knowledgeable, passionate about what she does, and nothing is ever too hard for her. She’s an absolute gun and wastes no time providing treatment to her patients.

I take absolute pride recommending Dr Ang to people I know suffering with endometriosis/PCOS or infertility, knowing they are in the most capable/safe hands and will obtain great results.

I can’t say enough good things about Dr Catarina Ang and her staff at Migynae.

Firstly, Dr Ang is an exceptional surgeon. I did my research and she is considered one of the best in the field which is why I chose her for my surgery. And she didn’t disappoint, she definitely lived up to her reputation when it came to my particular surgery. I couldn’t be happier and it is truly amazing what she managed to do with such a small incision.

Dr Ang took time to answer all my questions in detail all along the way and was also so supportive and accomodating of my individual and particular needs and requests which I am so grateful for. I didn’t feel like just another patient in a line of patients, I felt like I was treated as an individual with care and compassion.

The staff at MIGYNAE were amazing as well. Paulene, in particular, went above and beyond to make me feel supported and comfortable every step of the way. I can’t express the depth of my gratitude for her care.

As an Endometriosis patient, it can be challenging to find a good Specialist; the road to finding MiGynae was a long process of elimination for me, but I'm incredibly grateful to have eventually found professional, effective and individualised support from Dr. Shami and the team at MiGynae. After years of having my pain invalidated, Dr. Shami performed excision surgery and confirmed stage III Endometriosis. Dr. Shami didn't treat me like just a number, she took the time to listen and she explored all of my symptoms with an evidence based approach. Since my surgery, I've felt like a new woman and I've truly appreciated Dr. Shami's attentiveness and thorough approach throughout my journey, from the initial appointment through to the final post-op checks. Dr Shami is a calm, considerate and compassionate woman and professional, who has made me feel valued while helping me take control of my health and well-being.
