This place is the worse. Beware of all the other good rating it might be fake. I signed the quotation with one of the window saying elite awning window with fly screen. They deliver a fixed window and won’t change it. They said its my fault for not checking the quotation properly before signing. All others big windows transom sag due to the insufficient thickness aluminium member. One of the windows with a middle transom longer than the top and the bottom. I have asked for a technician to come and replace or cut down. Still waiting. Also all the windows come with lot of gaps and a technician has to come around to fill in the gap. I call and call leave messages and all but not one return or any notification. Be very carefull

Great service with attention to detail with all things windows.i was was extremely impressed with the care and quality of windows delivered to building site.

Windows provided on time and 18 months down the track are working perfectly. Sound proofing is significant.

After service has been pretty bad though. I need another window to match originals and 2 weeks later still dont have a quote.

There were some early issues which don't seem to have been Dowell's mistake but which they moved to rectify as swiftly as possible. From there par excellence, including today when two maintenance fellas turned up to ensure everything worked properly, seals were in place, etc. Incredibly professional and thorough. CEO Jeff Rotin sets a high standard which appears to flow down the line.

I use Geelong Dowell on a regular basis. Louisa especially in there is a gun. Would recommend them to anybody

Terrible customer service and the worst communication.
I went into Dowell to discuss getting some sliding aluminium doors. I took my builder with me to assist with the process. It all started out ok.

Then the lady emailed me some quotes. One of the quotes had the wrong measurements. No big deal I called her and she confirmed she had made a mistake. I then signed off on my chosen quote, which includes doors and installation.

I was told they would be in contact with a delivery date. No-one called. I had to chase this up

Doors arrived on said date. We were expecting the doors to be installed as this is what we paid for. HOWEVER.we were then told by the guys that delivered the doors that they are only the delivery guys and another contractor does the installation - we were never told this.

We got the name of the installer from Dowell and made an appointment for installation. Installer arrives on said date. He could not install doors because the measurements were out. We were not given all the correct information and so the frame was out by 20mm. When I called Dowell they said it was a misunderstanding on my part. I find it amusing they blamed me considering the lady who took my order recently left - how can they assume it was my fault when they cannot confirm what I was told by the lady who took my order? I know I was not given all the information because I had my builder with me and he confirmed my understanding.

Anyway, had to get my builder to re-do the frame. Booked the installer in for the second time. He came and installed the doors. BUT not the flyscreens. We were then informed they are done by another installer. Why did they not tell me this when I called the first time!
Doors look great, however the latch does not work unless you use lots of force to push the doors together.

We call Dowell again and ask for the number of the flyscreen installer and to get the latch looked at. This was 3 days ago and so far no-one has got back to me.

The saga continues.

Hi Robert

I just wanted to say thank you for the help and support I received this year from Dowell Windows.

In all the dealings I’ve had with the sales team they have been positive with an excellent service and outcome (Geelong office).

Brendan was always there and willing to help. (He’s a champion).

Louisa. I have had the pleasure of speaking to more often because she gets my orders.

I’ve received quotes from her at 9.30 at night and numerous emails at different times of the day to query my orders. She is fantastic (having a bad day? Give her a call)

Service and real people like this is hard to find as you probably know.

A credit to Geelong Office and a credit to Louisa

Looking for a lock on an older window. The guy was so helpful with suggestions and a name where in SA it could be bought. Ordered and arrived next day. Thank you to Dowells.
