Double Woks reviews
30 Double Woks isn’t just a restaurant, it’s a missing piece of your life’s flavour journey.
The staff's infectious happiness embraced me, creating a warm welcome to their shop
Now onto the food *insert drool emoji*. Char Kway Teow tastes like it was teleported from Malaysia. The beef and black bean sauce was no joke! So keen to try everything else on the menu!
If you haven't experienced Double Woks, you're missing out. Trust me, you'll be planning your return for seconds before you've even finished your first visit
I just came here yesterday, and we ordered 3 dishes: shrimp fried rice, king prawn egg noodles and Singapore noodle! My children loved the king prawn egg noodles! They serve a great portion and we also ate it the next day! Highly recommended
A hidden gem in Bentleigh our first take away won't be our last meal from here.
The food was delicious and the staff were excellent.
Simply to put it amazing. I am so important with the food. So many flavours with each bite. And the service was great their polite and helpful giving me recommendations. Well done
Great Asian food with value lunch deals.
Had the beef black bean sauce and wonton soup. Both dishes were excellent in taste.
The dinner menu is significantly pricier at ~$25 for a meal while the lunch menu has a combo for $15 that comes with a drink.
Really good quality food. I was apprehensive initially after buying but once opened my whole family like it. No cheap ingredients, very nice.
I always get Beef Horfun and Char Kway Teow takeaway. Always tastes great and great service.
Great lunch deals, perfect for a quick stop for a tradie or anyone else looking for a quick tasty meal
Love the place, have been going there for months now. Have tried most of their menu, everything is great.
Very good fresh quality food reasonably priced. Ordered Nasi Goreng, Chinese vegetables, sweet & Sour pork, chicken Hokkien noodles for 3 people and we had enough leftovers. Total cost $58
Nice take away dinner. Went well with a glass of red.
I imagine that the chef used to work at a 5-star restaurant and opened this little shop in our neighbourhood. That Good Aren’t we lucky!?
Forgot to mention!
He does very good meat & vegetable stir fry.
But not the noodles!
So tasty. Really lovely people. Excellent value for money. I highly recommend this place. The chicken soup is amazing.
I have been meaning to write this review for a long time as Double Woks has been my go to Chinese for about 3 years and not once in those 3 years have they been any less than perfect. Proper traditional Chinese made to the exact time they say. I have recommended them to friends and they have been instantly converted as their favourite Chinese take out. I also like how they haven’t fallen into the Uber eats trap and concentrated on keeping the quality of food over the quantity. Can’t recommend Double Woks highly enough.
We regularly get stir fry dishes. Favourite is pork with ginger stir fry. Tasty, made with fresh vegies, not oily and very friendly service. Thank you!
When i was there one lunch time in march of 2020, before the pandemic, i ordered beef and black bean sauce with vegetables, 10 out 10. When i returned after the pandemic and ordered the same dish. Not the same as it was previously. They were busy but i dont mind waiting longer so i can recieve the same as last time. Unfortunately i was disappointed.
Reasonable for the VOLUME of food served up BUT WHAT IS MISSING - ORDERED NASI GORANG, what turned up was FRIED RICE WITH EXTRA CHICKEN POWDER - missing was the fried egg, the fried shallots, the wonderful spices, but most of all cooking time. For me, and I have had Nasi Gorang in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong and even good ones in Melbourne, it was uncooked - 3 minutes to prepare is not cooking but a warm up. If volume is good enough this place is great, too many in the so called food business know nothing about cooking - for me I will not visit again.
The food is delicious and affordable, with a good variety and big portion sizes. This restaurant is owned by a lovely couple. Been going here for years!
Great little gem at North Road. Food is always tasty, fantastic friendly service, very fast and reasonably price. Highly recommended.
Tried 5 dishes from this place and they were all excellent including the char kway teow which is the true test of a Malaysian restaurant
Great local for delicious take away food. My go to, the Vegetarian Samosas and delicious Mapo Chicken. (Hard to find it done without Pork)
