27Some of the best dosa and chutneys I've ever had comes from this quaint restaurant tucked away in an corner. Lovely service from the owners just adds to the charm and experience
An amazing underrated hidden place in Ferntreegully for south Indian cuisine. A lovely couple runs the place. My go to place for dosa, idli and vada.
This is a superb place if you are a dosa fan. Very friendly service. Food was delicious and freshly made!
Dosa joy truly is a dose of joy. We went in for dinner and had the best dosa and uttapam we have ever had. Our food was made fresh to order, and seemed to be the perfect portion size.
What sets this place apart is the range of chutneys. Each one is incredible, with each one better than the last. The restaurant is spotless, the service is great and prices are very reasonable.
Dosa joy is absolutely worth a visit.
Delicious Dosas; great variety of chutneys.
Friendly and welcoming staff.
Good place to visit with Friends and family.
Must try if you are dosa lovers.
Awesome and homely food. So many different mouthwatering jain chutneys. We were very well served by super friendly staff. Many jain options available with extra care. My kids loved everything. I will love to go again and again. I recommend this place as a must visit.
This restaurant was the final one hadn't been to at the corner shops and as they say "Save the best for last". Some of the most accommodating, hospitable service I've ever had. The food was very tasty and the bread all though appearing big was manageable. Both the owners have this warm aura around them. My only wish is for this tucked away gem to be more visible from the outside, maybe switch it where the pharmacy is so it can get the attention it deserves!: D
My first time at Dosa Joy and I was blown away by their amazing chutneys and powders! Shri and Brinda the owners are so hospitable that it felt like I was dining at a family members house. Amazing place!
Delicious dosas, with great selection of chutneys and plenty of sambar too. Run by super friendly people.
Tasty food, great hosts. Best place for having different varieties of dosas and chutneys. Will definitely visit again
Such high quality food and service here. This is my regular dosa place and simply can't be beaten. Massive range of chutneys and the hospitality makes you feel as though you are at a family members house. I bring family and friends here and will continue to
Saw this little gem of a restaurant on my way home. The owner was almost closing but he was kind enough to reheat the pan and serve us. Dosa there were one if the best I’ve ever tasted. And those chutneys are soo yum. A must try. And not to mention the Warm customer service. And the excellent hygiene practice.
Support small businesses during this difficult time. Thank you Dosa Joy
Excellent service, tasty food, you will get the freshest chutney's here. Kids enjoyed! Will surely visit
Great test and good hospitality.whenever want to test real South Indian food this the place gives you thatsatisfaction.strongly recommended.
The restaurant had good chutney options, which is unique and hard to find in any other eat outs. This restaurant is now closed and not sure when it will be back to operations.
Nice dosa with 3 chutney and sambhar.vidhi is nice chef there.really she is making nice crispy dosa too.
Pros are the main dishes are reasonably priced and the quality is above average. The cons are the starters are over priced, the quality of vada is pretty average, funnily enough vada does not include sambar (never heard of before) for a takeaway, sambar does not contain any veggies and run like rasam. The cons don’t end there. The restaurant accepts only cash and invariably the owner does not keep any small change.
I'm in dosa heaven every time we visit Dosa Joy. By far the best dosa in Melbourne! Big claim, yes, but they truly do deliver. Crispy dosa drizzled with ghee and then dunked into the tastiest variety of chutney, sambar, and podi. I have to make a special mention about the sambar - it is brilliant! A massive hit with our family. The staff are genuinely warm and welcoming. It's certainly well worth the wait for an authentic south indian dining experience that is well under your budget.
They are not authentic flavours. Sambhar doesn't have any veggies or tempering. Food served in disposable, no tissues. Staff is friendly (two ladies) but poor management.
