Dosa Villas reviews
52Very nice experience. Dosa lovers must visit. I ate Dosa after 10 months, it's really awsme. Feel like I am in India. Thanks for the taste and valuable service. See you again
Terrible goat curry I’ve ever had. What a waste, after having 2 spoons I couldn’t eat it. Goat doesn’t smell and taste good.
It used to be delicious before and I often used to order Biryani and goat curry from here. But not anymore from today onwards.
Very bad hospitality. The food did no justice for the hole in the pocket it made. Unsatisfactory and disappointed. I make better dosas at home:)
Very bad Hospitality. Food was a nightmare and really expensive isn't worth it. Beef Curry was sweet and sour, clearly I could taste the tomato sauce. Used to be good. I won't recommend this restaurant to any South Indian food lovers.
Consistently great and Authentic South Indian, quick and friendly service.
A hidden gem in Glenroy, we really love coming here for a dosa - hot, fresh and tastes like it’s just out of a kitchen in Madras served with a generous portion of hot sambhar and coconut chutney.
The food is pretty tasty but ridiculously expensive - that's the bottom line.
Forget eating-in, the place has zero atmosphere and is in an uninspiring location. Mostly, your clothes will smell of spices forever!
As for takeaways, as I said the food is quite good but at $18 per portion for a curry only, you're into fine-dining costs once you add Dosa etc.
Always love their authentic tasting flavoursome, freshly made dosas. Have been visiting them for a few good years now and there is consistency, variety and flavour every dingle time. Thank you Dosa Villas. My only feedback.bring rasam to the menu and the rava dosas
The place is priced okay but the ambience and service isn’t something worth rooting for. I would say it’s average at best.
We went for a lunch and ordered Chicken biryani and masala dosa. We were only the person in this restaurant while we dined in for 45minutes. Dosa was good but biryani was a complete disaster. Biryani was just a rice with lots of tomato sauce and there was no any taste of spices.
Really good roti and mee goreng! The dosa here is amazing, freshly made sambar and actual coconut in the chutneys.
My partner introduced me to Dosa Villas in Glenroy, and we have been going there once every six months. It is very close to the station, in the town centre - near Coles, Dominos and a big Indian store. Salvos and Vinnie's are right next to it if you are interested in getting a good bargain. It is run by a small group of people. Their curries are authentic and what I really liked is - they recommended combinations to try, for instance chicken vindaloo and rice. Finish your lunch or dinner with Teh Tarik - tastes really good when hot.
Amazing Dosa, Biryani, Pizza Dosa, Masala Dosa, plain Dosa and Tea.
Every single thing was good
$14. Absolutely astronomical pricing on a small container of sambar.ridiculous charges.
The food better be worth it's weight in gold.
Come on guys.stop doing absurd pricing!
At this rate, we can't try out anything else ever again.just lost us.
They are nice people but I must say never order Chicken Vindaloo from this place. It was very salty, they cooked it again and it was still very salty. Value of money was Zero.
If you are planning to quit south Indian Tamil food and not look back at it, this is definitely the place for it. The food they make is anything but Tamil food. They absolutely put no care in making the food. In spite of being the only Tamil restaurant around this sub-urb they could have really capitalized on it by providing good food, but they don't. I would have bought from them for 4-5 times and each time they consistently provided horrible food besides being expensive. Not worth your money.
I paid $28 for two curries, not at worth it. Taste is really bad, so much water in daal. Very bad experience please maintain some standards.
Food is good but There is a one girl who is thinking they giving us free food and so much attitude. No respect towards customers, they feel as if they are giving for free.
Really Authentic and so full of flavour with fresh spices and curry leaves. Really beautiful food.
This is my favourite place.
I go here 3 times a day. Comfort food and amazing people.
A very quaint, small and basic looking place. But the food is authentic. So satisfying. Happy to have made this discovery.
Going to become a regular food place! The place doesn’t look great, but the food is and it’s the food that matters.
