Dosa mates reviews
20Absolutely amazing food and fast and lovely staff. All food is made on the spot and so many whole spices like cardamom and anise in the dishes it is amazing. Best Indian food I tried in Melbourne, and I have been to many places!
Loved dosa and all the extra’s chutneys. Felt like home made. However sitting area is not like done due to food truck. Service and food awesome.
The best South Indian food you can have in Melbourne! The softest idly to the crispiest dosa and awesome meat dishes!
It’s a cute cosy food truck with seating area in a fuel station lot and also a family business who are really sweet people. Food was delicious soo full of South Indian flavours. Must try is their Dosa and kothu parota.
Very nice food and affordable.had the butter chicken, roti, and dosa. Limited off street parking shared with the servo. Limited seating under a gazeboo. Best to take away if local. Worth a try.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Dosa Mates, and I must say, it was a truly delightful experience. The food truck focus on South Indian cuisine is evident in every mouthwatering dish they serve. The dosas were perfectly crispy, with a variety of flavorful fillings that left me craving for more. The spices used in their dishes were expertly balanced, creating a harmonious explosion of flavors. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that every need was met. If you're a fan of yummy and spicy South Indian food, Dosa Mates is an absolute must-visit. You won't be disappointed!
Nice people, i have been here couple of times dosa masla always good but yesterday try chicken biryani o my GOD, it's not a dum biryani it's a frozen meat biryani with not fresh,
Sooooo yum! So happy we found this place; the owners are so generous and kind, they even asked me to taste test my biryani for spiciness before packaging it.
Authentic South Indian cuisine
Best chicken fried rice
Their chutneys are super delicious
Idly’s and dosa are super delish
Feels like home food
Must visit place
Delicious and authentic dosa! A must try! Very friendly staff and excellent customer service!
Unsure what we ate, but it was tasty! Served from a hut in garage’s forecourt. There are tables and chairs for dining there. Friendly and patient people. I asked for mild heat, and was asked to taste before being served. Would go someway out of my way to repeat.
Best Paneer Masala Dosa I have ever eaten in Melbourne and probably in my life. The chef is very nice. I would recommend the place to all South Indian food lovers.
Mark my words, this place is Number 1, I mean it. For their dosa, we tried 1st time here. I am too particular and having tried south Indian food at many places. This is the best south Indian food you can ask for in the whole Melbourne.
Placed the order via phone as we stay nearby n was ready in 10 mins time. We ate in the car while in parking. Must call-out that the chicken dosa was excellent and you get the wonderful flavours of the chicken mixed with all the spices. Also ordered the paneer dosa which was equally good but can't beat the chicken dosa:). The chutneys which were served (mint, coconut n one more which I don't know) were all very flavorsome. Would definitely recommend for a good south indian meal.
I love going to this place. Food is always fresh and tasty. I tried biryani and dosa, podi idli, it was amazing.
It's one of the best South indian dishes in Melbourne. Really authentic food. Loved it.
Best Mysore masala dosa ever i had. Awesome ghee poddy idly and tasty egg roti with very reasonable price.
Dosa mates is takeaway place located next to the petrol station & car wash. The small food trailer is facing on the side fence, not facing on the road.
The trailer had quite low light and dark around the area at near midnight.
To avoid go missing for the first time visit, you may just enter from the Petrol station.
They are very authentic Southern Indian cuisine. Biryani was quite spicy with mixed coloured rice (I am guessing hyderabad style). Chicken 65 was very mild charcoal grilled smoky taste. Some spicy but flavourful dips for Cheese Dosa. It was very tasty & filling
It became busy and we saw at least 10 cars behind us when we got our food.
Best Dhal I've had! The Butter Chicken is full of flavour. Everything is made fresh and definitely worth the wait. The staff are lovely and helpful.
