Dosa Hut - Indian Multi Cuisine Restaurant Point Cook

Just one word - DELICIOUS!
Absolutely delicious! We had a variety of things at Dosa Hut. We started off with chilli goat and malai murg reshmi tikka, right after which we started digging into the appetizing Adraki Rara Chicken, Karahi Goat and Bhuna Goat with Plain Roti and Naan. Believe me, it was worth it. I haven’t had any more delicious Indian food anywhere here in Melbourne. Looking forward to exploring more different restaurants serving Indian and other cuisines.

Having been both a customer and an employee of this restaurant I can wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone around the area looking for good Indian food.

Wanted to shout out Alvin, Amrit, Raj and Kiran who hold the front of house down with exceptional service as well as the kitchen crew who work incredibly hard to give great food to all customers.

I ordered at lunch time one plate allo kulcha and received only one piece as always i receive 2 pieces. After that the staff management was too bad they didn't ask for any other thing and they are just busy talking with the kithcen staff. Bad experience even we didn't eat well.

Food is good but false advertising though. On the website it clearly mentions a deal of getting $5 off if you order over $60 when you pay i store and yet when I ordered over the phone the staff said one person manages website and the store has no clue of what that is. Question is why advertise when you can't honour?

I was here recently with my family. We ordered veg starters and few items. It was excellent. Cut Mirchi and Paneer tikka were great. I strongly recommend this place for Indian food.

If it was possible to provide no stars - I would have done so. I ordered food for the family for birthday celebration at 5: 12PM through UberEats with Dosa Hut and at 8PM, the order has not been delivered. I got told by the staff that they have completed the order on their end with the driver possibly delivering multiple orders and perhaps he is on his way. Dosa Hut updated their profile to state that they completed the order but where is the mysterious order delivered. Staff have no idea how to manage issues and hung up advising they have completed the order at their end - not professional - 1st time experienced such bad treatment inspite of trying to support a business - never again

Food meets the expectation but service fails miserably.
Don't know why but i believe some people who work in hospitality must hate it end up coming across that way to customers. The same could easily be said about person who is manning reception at Dosa Hut Point Cook.
I'll definitely give it a miss based purely on extremely low service level.

Edit - 08/03 - I just wanted to make a comment that I did get a follow up call to discuss my experience however I have been extremely busy lately and haven't had a chance to discuss.

Just for this effort, I have improved a star.

Ordered chicken keema pulav, however received a chicken keema pulav with fried rice vegetables and noodles in it.

Had Rava Dosa and Mysore masala Dosa, it was great food, friendly staff and timely service. Parking is behind the restaurant if you are visiting first time. Highly recommend.

Being next door, I visit this place now and then. I must say this - Consistently substandard service, whether it's busy or not. I would go for their biriyanis. Everything else, I 'll pass.

It was my first visit there with my family, really good experience and amazing food.

Good Indian restaurant, I have ordered take away from here, taste is not a constant here but good.

Food was nice but the customer service was 0 to none. Ordered at 8: 20pm then to be told at 9: 05pm that our order has not been put through the system. This has happened to us second time in a row. Previous time we ordered and then 20 min later told us to order something else as they ran out of dosa batter. We ordered the new dishes only to see the batter had arrived and was not informed. If you’re willing to wait 1 hour for food this is the place to be. #letdown.

Had takeaway Biryanis (Chicken Dum and Veg) last Monday, and both the Biryanis were tasting stale. Horrible Biryanis

First time tried this restaurant, very authentic and delicious food, Full of herbs and spice flavours. Loved the way staff treats their customers. Despite being very busy we got our food on time.
Highly recommended!

Very disappointed with my take away today. Poor taste. Veg Manchurian tasted like gulab jamun (too sweet). Expected much better. 10% surcharge not communicated while placing the order but only on payment. Overall, average food.not going back.

I went there first time. I tried smosa chat. OMG. What a taste totally Punjab ch milda si jida…. Yummy.

Ordered goat biriyani, cheese soda … after eating 2 bone goat
Biriyani stomach upset due to high soda.cheese those was too hard and I dumped it. Quality is poor

Nice place and well organised for lunch party. We booked table for 35 people and food was delivered fast and delicious. Many varieties with reasonable price.

Best Dosas in town especially that 70mm dosa was really outstanding. My wife loved Dahi Poori really worth a try.
Staff is very attentive and courteous. Overall great atmosphere. I am sure this place will be one of our regulars on the list.
