Doot Doot Doot reviews
42Great atmosphere and a beautiful place to dine in. Each dish was quite unique and presented beautifully. Staff were very friendly and attentive.
We had a delightful experience at Doot Doot Doot! The dinner was wonderful, and Amanda's attentive service made it even better. Thank you, Amanda, for taking such great care of us. We look forward to returning for another fantastic dining experience.
The only way I can describe our dinner at Doot Doot Doot within the beautiful winery and Jackalope hotel setting is SUBLIME.
What an unbelievable experience from start to finish. We enjoyed the 3 course degustation menu starting off with crab and scallop lasagne with my wife choosing the grilled asparagus. For mains we had the roaring forties lamb and the uroloko-Yaki snapper. We finished off with white tea Millie feuille and a cheese board all paired beautifully with wine choices that complimented the dishes perfectly. If that wasn’t great enough, we were pleasantly indulged with the extra touches of complimentary snacks, house baked soda bread and petitifours. The flavours and presentation of each dish was exquisite.
The food featured all locally grown produce and the commitment to sustainability makes this restaurant a truly memorable experience. The personalised attention of the service hosts is another outstanding feature. Without doubt this is World Class standard right on the doorstep to the Mornington Peninsula.
Just awesome. They made my wife's birthday very special. A wonderful evening. Thank you all.
Really enjoyed an amazing night at Doot Doot Doot. Our server was very attentive, friendly and took the time to answer our questions and find out more. Was great to see he was honest, well thought out and prepared when answering my questions. Great job!
Overall, I really enjoyed all the dishes, with each giving a different unique and unpredictable experience. It was more than just a taste, but truly a remarkable journey of flavours and textures, with twists and turns.
Highly recommend anyone going out for more than just food. Thank you to the team and to the chefs crafting such an exquisite experience.
Beautiful surrounds, decor and atmosphere. Food was almost all fantastic. Mains were slightly too strongly flavoured, which will be fine for some but not all. Professional service, classy.
Amanda made us feel so welcome and special! Food was fantastic, service was fantastic. First ever fine dining experience and the bar was set exceptionally high.
Our waiter Marcus was amazing, his knowledge and recommendations of wines made the whole experience really special, thank you Marcus all the other staff were also really friendly and attentive. It’s well worth it to dine at Doot Doot Doot.
Our waiter Matthew was very friendly and easy to engage with. He was also very knowledgeable on the menu and when we stumped him with a question about a cocktail he was able to get back to us quite quickly. Overall very happy with our dining experience at Doot Doot Doot. You pay for quality and I feel like we got what we paid for!
We had a fantastic meal here when we visited in 2022. Can’t wait to return. They were very accommodating of my dietary restrictions at the time (pregnancy).
Hands down this is probably the best restaurant my partner and I have been to. Dined here for dinner on Wednesday night for my birthday and everything from the food, atmosphere and service by our waiter Thomas was exceptional. Could not fault anything.
Exemplary food and service. Enjoyed a great dinner celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. Lobster was delicious Highly recommended
Amazing food and even better customer service. Would highly recommend the mussels
I’ll be back soon!

Great food & all round experience! Loved the mussels & the dessert, highly recommend & will be back!
I’ve been here many times but the experience we had last Saturday was the best by far. All food was great and so was the service.
We got there and despite the website saying it wasn’t a set menu, we found out the menu was set, which was disappointing and had barely any vegetarian options. I should have called before to check though so that’s partly on me but one would think it would be clear online what was what. I will say our waiter was lovely but we didn’t eat here as I didn’t want to spend upwards of 140 on a bland vegetarian menu.
We had an awful time with the receptionists outside and the offshoot bar they sent us to instead, which also had nothing vegetarian. The receptionists were incredibly rude when we asked for a recommendation elsewhere, and sent us to another place that was closed though they promised us it was open. By the time we got there everything was closed and we ate the biscuits at our air Bnb for dinner and were starving all night. Confusing website, horrible receptionists, never again.
Really friendly staff and great food!
One of the best meals I've had, all the dishes were balanced really well with great texture throughout all courses. Jam doubt parfait was my favourite:)
The best dining experiences I’ve had on the Mornington Peninsula! My husband and I last visited when I was pregnant so I wanted to return to try the new menu and wine pairing. It did not disappoint! Every course was well thought out. I had the vegetarian options and the flavours were amazing (unlike other restaurants who have limited vegan and vegetarian options). The service was attentive and friendly. Our waiter Stefan was lovely, answered all our questions, took photos for us, gave us extra bread! The bread was the best bread I’ve had in my entire life. The price was very reasonable compared to other degustations and wine pairing we have experienced too! Do yourself a favour and book into Doot Doot Doot. Make sure you try the bread!
Don't bother with this restaurant. Booked a table a month prior to attending, they went to the trouble of taking my bank details and letting me know the surcharge if I didn't attend. Called to confirm, and was told I didn't have a booking. I thought booking a nice dinner for an engagement celebratory dinner would be fitting.to only be told I should have called to confirm. Will never reccomend this place and will never attend till the day I die.
This was bad. How it has a hat is beyond me, I know it is essentially the foyer to a hotel, but it really feels like the foyer to a hotel. I know everyone is having staffing issues, but you can’t be charging $140 a head and get served by inexperienced teenage waiters. Food was decent, vibe was bad and we left hungry…
