Doors Galore

Have been here a few times over the years and he always goes out of his way to help and even for small issues.

I contacted Doors Galore (Andrew, Director) for advice in reducing the noise coming through our front door. Was advised by Andrew that if we were to replace the aluminium door frame and the door with a solid wooden frame and door the noise will be significantly reduced. Initially Andrew seemed knowledgeable, polite and helpful however he turned out to be the opposite. The installation was a shambles. The first guy came and left as he didn’t think he could do the job (at least he was honest). The second guy was a disaster. He made a complete mess, damaged the new door which had to be replaced. The noise has increased 10 fold from before not to mention the cold air coming through the gaps. When I contacted Andrew about it, he lied saying he didn’t know about the noise issue and that he didn’t visit our house to consult in the first place. He came to our house twice. Also he refused to come and inspect the works. After many attempts/phone calls he came. Which was a waste of time.he was rude and aggressive. He refused to rectify the problem. It’s now with VCAT waiting for a hearing. I strongly suggest you think twice about engaging them.

Great service and advice. Andrew pointed to some things we hadn't thought of and will address with the fitting of a new door. No upselling. No pressure. Just old fashioned service.

Would highly recommend that you become really well educated on doors, door handles and where to place door handles etc because Andrew & his team of contractor Carpenters are curtains unhelpful and unprofessional. It started out as an exciting Opportunity to upgrade our front door area, but sadly ended up only in disappointment!
If you’re going to charge that amount of money, you better lift your door game!

Not worth it!

Asked for a quote and measure, told to come into showroom with a photo from their website of a door we liked. Drove an hour to get there - Rude young guy more interested in his next Instagram post the only staff member in store (sunshine store). Showed him a photo of what we like FROM THEIR OWN WEBSITE and guess what - "oh sorry mate we don't stock that I don't know where you got that from". Doors plus - absolutely useless! I will make a point for the next 40 years of telling everyone who will listen how bloody useless your team was

Andrew is a genuinely great guy who will go out of his way to get you exactly what you're after without trying to upsell or gimmick his way into a sale. He's very knowledgeable, patient and will offer his honest opinion. He responds quickly to queries and will follow up when needed.his carpentry team are fantastic and have done a brilliant job installing everything. I'll definitely be going back to Andrew when our next requirement for doors arises.

By chance, we only enquire about the front door seals and Mark is very keen to come to our house to check. Then we realise that the original front doors were poorly installed when the house was built 6 years ago. Mark indicates that the best way to fix the problem is to replace the doors. We had the new doors installed by a very competent carpenter Shane. The new front doors look beautiful and are secure; no more rattling and no more draught on a windy day. A job well done to Mark and Shane. We are quite pleased and give Doors Galore five stars. Go for quality if you can afford!

Absolutely disgusting behavior, ordered 3 doors promised they would be delivered on a Monday morning, was told didn't have a driver. Then they said Thursday on Thursday they came but said they forget 2 of the doors. What a joke of a company. Do not buy from here

Very happy with our door. Andrew is very knowledgeable and happily educated us on doors, locks and painting requirements. Installation by Sean was very professional with great attention to detail. Highly recommended.

I highly recommend Doors galore. They have an excellent range. They are very helpful and very well priced and I did a lot of research on the doors that I chose.second time around I got them to install a door too and they also did a very good job of this. One small negative is that when the door was trimmed to fit it was trimmed on one side only. This would not have been noticeable if it were not for the fact that I was having a custom made screen door to suit it after.
Would still recommend their installer though.

Called up and spoke to Andrew, he sounded really nice and told you what you wanted to hear.
The trouble happened when the guy came around and installed the door. He 'finished' the job and went to invoice, but didn't even bother to test his workmanship by closing and opening the door once. The door failed to close as the bolt got jammed in the plate and the door hinges weren't aligned. He half 'fixed' the bolt, it then wouldn't slide into the latch. To do it you had to apply wrist-stressing pressure to the handle. He said its normal despite showing him no other door in the house doing it and blamed the new lock. I then had to point out to the uneducated ape the misalignment problem was because of his shonky installation the door hinges. After several attempts he still couldn't manage to fix it and blamed the timber too old for the door, despite Andrew saying he would check its suitability for compatibility first. To save argument I accepted the pathetic workmanship and fixed it myself in 5 minutes. When complaining to Andrew and requesting partial refund he hung up and never called back like he said.

Doors Galore is one place I will always go to for door replacements. Andrew and Mark are friendly, very courteous and professional in advising which door was suitable for my home. I have no complaints what so ever because the door that was chosen for my home is absolutely perfect in every way. I am so pleased with the outcome of my new front door and the decal design fitted onto the glass panels are beautiful.
