Don-Udon

Attended this place for the first time with the family. The lady at the counter (possibly the owner) was most unwelcoming as we walked in (whilst there were no customer's in the restaurant). Putting aside the worst customer service or lack of, we ordered our dinner. The food came out pretty quick as we were the only customer's in the restaurant. The presentation of the soup udon was nice however the taste was bland. The pork bulgogi on sizzling plate presented nice but it was overly sweet and not spicey not sure why it was sweet. The kimchi hotpot was another let down extremely oily definitely not like the Korean restaurants we've been to. The presentation of the food looked nice but the taste definitely did not hit the mark and wouldn't say this is authentic Korean. With the cold and unwelcoming service and the taste of the food that was not enjoyable, won't be returning to this place there plenty of Korean restaurants that have friendly service and much better tasting food.

This place is amazing! Ordered a udon and tofu soup. The people in there are kind recommended!

Been dining here a while since moving into the suburb and never disappointed. This is my go to place Korean/Japanese foods and such a great value and very good foods. Highly recommended

I work close by and whenever I need lunch I always go to them. The food is simple and yummy! The people there are also very sweet. It’s nice to support a family business~

My husband and I came here for the first time last night and ordered gyoza, octopus balls and two pork katsu udon noodle bowls. Everything was outstanding! Generous servings of crispy pork katsu in a delicious nourishing broth. 10/10. The lady serving us was so sweet; she left a mandarin for me on the table (I think because I had lost my voice unless this is a common gesture lol). We will most certainly be back!

Nice Korean/Japanese restaurant. However I found their soup base to be a touch on the salty side and is missing a taste probably bonito which might have masked or enhance the saltiness. Their presentation and use of ingredients are very solid. I would go back there for quick meals. Hopefully they can adjust the soup base somehow or if that was just missing on the day when I went there.

Amazing Japanese food. Staff are friendly, food is delicious, prices are reasonable and it's our go to place, either dine in/takeaway. I'd highly recommend this place.

A nice little restaurant with a relaxed feel. The food was good ~ we had the agedashi tofu, ginseng chicken and the stone bowl bibimbap. Serving size was large and menu isn't overpriced. We'll be coming back

Have been ordering take away from here. Liked the service and the food. Pork belly don and tofu stew are our favourite! Hope Donudon will reopen soon!

Very satisfying if you’re in need of a rice fix. We had the stone bibimbap and unagi don. Both were delicious. Will be back!

Literally just finished a meal from here and I couldn't ask for a better meal, better quality, or a tastier dish. Absolutely wonderful from the delightful staff to the napkin and chopsticks given in the paper bag. Look forward to my next meal there!

Amazing restaurant serving delicious and fresh Japanese & Korean food. The bibimbap was served in a hot stone bowl with fresh and delectable vegetables. We also had the katsudon which had a light yet flavourful sweet soy sauce and the meat was perfectly crumbed with the right amount of breading. Can’t wait to return to try the other dishes!

Food is so delicious, fresh and good portion size. My son also enjoys the candy after dinners every time.

Food is delicious, very authentic Korean and Japanese food, we had the Bibimbap, udon noodle soup, okyakidon and miso soup. Decent size serve and very satisfied!

This place is really the best, the food is quality and delicious. It's honestly so sad that this place is empty a lot of the time because it really is the best. The interior is nice and cosy and I can't stress how good the food is. I believe that this restaurant deserves much more attention, the food is seriously akin to some fine dining stuff and yet still at a cheap price. Please try this place if you can.

We tried the food here on Sat night and absolutely loved it! We could not resist and ordered from here again tonight. Food is delicious, fresh, good portion size and friendly service. Highly recommend.

Woah. The best Japanese I've ever had. Had it on Monday night and had to have some more two nights later. So tasty! And wonderful service.
