Dolphin Fencing

We had a poor experience with these guys. Prior to the installation, we had so many delays, with a lack of communication to even tell us about the delays. I always had to follow up to find out we were delayed again.
The work was completed about 6 months ago and we have had so much problems with this. They did an aluminium pool fence for us. And they redid our back timber fence to make it “compliant”. The back fence that they did is now basically falling apart, I’ve never seen such poor work. Nothing is straight and it’s falling apart.

We had a glass pool fence installed we had paid a deposit and waited over a year to get the pool fence finished. Every time I rang up to ask what was going on it was excuse after excuse but finally when the job was finished they were quick to ask for the rest of the amount owing. Never again will ever go with them again. Over priced too.

My aluminium fence is excellent.
I had to wait a while for work to begin but it was worth it.
I believe the company produces great fences and I’m really glad I chose them.
The workmanship is really good, the staff that made it happen were all professional and friendly.
I would recommend this company.

The worst experience I have ever had with any company. Payed half of the amount of the job in August 2021. The job has just been finished in February 2022. That’s over 6 months to complete this job. I highly recommend you stay well clear of this company

My Grandma had works done, she forked out a hefty amount. We were quoted a fair bit considering materials should have cost much less. She is happy enough but cosmetically my partner (who is a builder) and I can see the job was rushed and there is areas that don't align. Customer service was rubbish they took the money but didn't follow it up for months.

Some good work, some poor work. I wanted 2 custom gates, 1 wooden, 1 metal.and Matt inspected and quoted. Expensive but Matt seemed to have a good approach. Posts went in OK and custom gates themselves were well made. However installation was shoddy and the wooden gate was not even flush with the fence by 10cm or 15cm - looked terrible. When I rang Matt he said the gate couldn't be flush and I'd have to live with it. I got someone else to fix it with 2 hours work but Matt wouldn't reduce invoice. On top of that the installation nailing/screwing was very rough. The metal gate looked good except installers nail gunned a bit of treated pine as a stopper. Matt did come and replace that. Wouldn't necessarily recommend Dolphin but if you use them spell out every last detail. Premium price but not all premium work by any means.

We had an unusual and very technical fencing request and Dolphin fencing were the only contractor who interested and communicative with the project. All other contractors were completely unhelpful.

I bought a house with a gate that these guys had made a few years ago. It had a problem (not their fault) which I rang to see if they could repair for me. When I rang, the lady said I had to transfer $270 before she could make any booking which would get me a total repair time of 45 minutes and if it took longer, I would be charged more. On receipt of the money she let me know someone would come in the next 2-3 weeks. Someone actually turned up on the doorstep after just a few days with no call or notice (lucky for lockdown) and repaired the gate in 20 minutes. I still can't decide if that's a good result (my gate got repaired well and quite quickly) or if the $270 for 45 min thing was a rip off. Or them having to have the money before they will show up and cant make an actual booking, just sometime the next 2-3 weeks is bad service! You decide!

I'm a builder and I used Dolphin Fencing for the first time on a renovation in Cheltenham recently. I had the masonry wall constructed and rendered, then asked Dolphin to fabricate and install the metal infill and swinging gates. I am really happy with the construction and finish. I love trades that are professional and neat. The attention to detail on the heavy duty hinges has not gone unrecognised.

I was informed by a building inspector that my newly purchased house had a fence that needed to be replaced. I have not seen the fence as the house is currently tenanted. Dolphin fencing came to quote the job and told me that the fence still has many years to go before replacement was necessary. Honesty of this kind is hard to find! I'll use them for all fencing jobs in the future as they saved me thousands of dollars.

Andy and his team were excellent. I was in a tough situation and he went above and beyond to provide a workable solution and a safe environment for my family. Would definitely recommend!

It was very busy, so that may be the problem. We waited 40 mins to get pasta or salads, but that was not the pizzas. Everyone had eaten their meal and the pizzas had still not arrived after another 40 minutes. By that time, it felt awkward to eat being surrounded by the people with empty plates. The pizzas were also dissapointing. I feel they should have more chefs and staff, to accomodate for the busier time of year. Overall very disappointing.
