Went I to this store today, 12th June 2021 - I was shocked by the very poor attitude of the male cashier. I had two items to purchase; I sat my bag on the bench which as full (in fairness with very similar items sold in the store).
I was told they look like items I there and as I was getting my wallet to pay I said you’re welcome to look and there are receipts I. The bag. This was repeated 3 times. When I said this is becoming rude. His response was that this is Australia; you look like a culprit!
I’m sorry but for some well dressed with their wallet out explaining you can look in my bags; this is not appropriate.
Very sad and disappointed in this store. Needless to say I did not purchase and write this review right out front of the store and showed them. Also sad to see when I went back the same person not check bags and also call me a slur! Disgraceful!

Terrible customer service, rude staff and falsely advertised prices. Christmas items advertised in early December were marked up by 50% on Boxing Day claiming to be half price! I was asked to leave when i brought this to their attention. Very dodgy.

The owner was bullying my wife. We have put a police complaint for intimidating my wife and our newborn. I cant believe this is how a newly mother is being treated and I cant believe hes the owner of the store.
We have also put a complaint with Westfield Group. I hope no-one will buy there anymore and get treated bad as my wife did. We will also ensure this goes out to the media.

This is about how the Dollar King is playing around with the sentiments of the public during the ongoing Covid19 pandemic by cheating them with cheap and inferior products which are not fit for purpose. Purchased a pack of face mask today. While trying it, I found it not fit for use as it has the basic design defects (refer photo) and was not sealing the face properly over the nose (its sole purpose).
It is strictly not adhering to the Form-Fit design it is claiming on the product sticker (refer image)

The guy at the counter didn't accepted the defective product and was extremely blunt and rude (must go through some customer service training) and refused to take the product back in the name of a notice that they tag in front of the counter even though it is not a change of mind from my side.

Looking forward for a response before I may reach out to a certified lab to get the product claims tested and reaching out to ACCC for a defective product complaint.

Bad service. Never go back there again. The owner is a bully. Happy to share with whomever what happened to us at the store today

The owner was bullying and intimidating me and our newborn. I cant hes the store owner, I left the place as I was feeling the owner would attack me.
Please dont buy in this place ever again

From the time that the one dollar shops appeared they changed the way we shop mainly in the way of why go to anywhere else to buy the same item when you can get it cheaper there. Which begs the question why have we in this country been paying more for everything? Because it's not that what you buy there is anything different from let's say the supermarket. I'm not complaining about it but it's insulting in a way because you feel like being taken advantage by the lack of competition or the government's thirst for putting so many taxes, that to this day we still can't get what the majority of countries around the world get. That we have to rely on Amazon or Ebay to enjoy items that we should be able to walk in a store and buy it's somewhat annoying. But back to the Dollar King whilst some stuff are cheap and brands that we haven't heard of a lot are not. And if you save money hey why pay more just because it's a brand or that you get it from a major retail store. But as always you get what you pay for as long as you are happy with the what you purchase who cares. I will go again because there is stuff that it's brand name and I like that brand but I won't pay the price that the supermarket sells it.

Unreasonable prices for what it is. Poor quality in service. I was disappointed in my shopping experience

This is one of my favorite two dollar shops ever its soooo huge. I can spend ages in here as they have heaps of everything and it's great value. A huge arts and crafts section. Lots of great Australian memrobilia, car supplies, bathroom items. I saw some great art and mirrors shelfs lovely vases pots ect, a big section for animal supplies. But not very good animal section or quality dog toys. Household tools and cool gardening section. Heaps of party supplies and big gift section. Stationary Toys games. All in all a great shop to go to and have a browse, you are sure to find a bargain and spend awhile looking through here. 2$ shop warehouse i think!

Affordable shoppe. A wide range of items. Household, picnic, garden, party and craft sets are available for the middle class. However no classy materials

Good range of products though they dont have some things most $2 shops do.pricing a bit high.you would think with them being a chain they would have a better refund policy; especially with unopened, unused items with the receipt.staff can be a bit unfriendly and the store a bit messy at times.conveniently located.

One of the bigger cheep import style shops, has a lot of very cheep low quality "stuff". Worth a browse through.
