This was not really your job to do but on my panic call due to being unable to manage, well out you came. Your service has been outstanding after drapes and nets done through the whole house. I am posting this review, not because of any fault in workmanship with my installation of holland blinds, but rather with my dissatisfaction due to a rushed time frame and miscommunication which lead me to having a product installed which wasn't what I had expected.
This came about due to the fact that I own an investment rental property in Echuca and that I live four hours away from that property. The lack of communication was evident when I told after the fact that the quote had been done, whereas being the customer I should have been notified of the day and time for the appointment, which I may have been able to attend on that day as I only work four days per week. I received a call to tell me that the quote had been done and had been emailed to me and that if I wanted this to go ahead that I would need to sent payment through by the following day so that the order could be installed before Christmas, (hence the rush involved).
The blinds were installed satisfactorily according to the tenants and I made a prompt final payment before Christmas, but it wasn't until I was texted photos of the blinds that I realised that the day/night blinds (a total of three windows done), had been installed differently to what I was expecting. My expectation was that block out blind would be on the architrave and the sheerer blind recessed within the window frame. My experience of these day/night blinds was that this was the norm to have them installed that way. The miscommunication was that being the customer I wasn't given an option at the time of quotation as to whether I would like to have them one way or the other. I was told by the owner that this is the way he usually installed these type of blinds, so he made that decision. I now have a look in the main living room where these blinds do not match the other existing blinds in the same area.
I don't have any comeback because I the blinds that were ordered were what was installed. Although there is conflicting information on the quotation - information that is misleading in its wording that added to my confusion and made me think one thing was done when the opposite happened. I would suggest anyone else to carefully read what you have been quoted and don't hesitate to query.
I have always previously used the Dollar Curtains and Blinds franchises when wanting new blinds, etc, for my home.
My experience has been one of frustration and disappointment and will lead me to contact Consumer Affairs with my complaint.
