CAUTION: Cheap and careless contractor.

We needed a short boundary re-fenced and opted for Colorbond with sleepers, choosing DLS ultimately due to lower cost and neighbor's preference.

Within a few months a noticeable shift had occurred. Multiple panels between posts have skewed unevenly, and a portion of the fence is leaning over with the sleepers underneath buckling. Also, most of the caps on the posts were unsecured and have been lost.

Very difficult to reach Dawt at DLS. Emails go unanswered. Most calls go to voice mail. The few calls answered are met with a persistent refrain of "too busy. " I persisted with calls enough that Dawt booked a day and time window to inspect - he did not attend, no contact made, and does not answer his contacts.

I should also mention that at the time of construction he left behind plenty of refuse - fast food waste, empty cement bags. And communication was very difficult - unfortunately I can't help by communicating in Vietnamese, and Dawt's English comprehension and speech is very limited. But language barrier aside, his attitude was more the problem - he bristled when asked for examples of his construction prior to contracting him, and then he hounded me for payment every day for the 3-4 days it took to be in receipt of his invoice and transfer and clear the funds (even insisting on proof of my transfer so that I had to send a screenshot of my bank's transfer confirmation).

I will need to re-contract a repair of the fence, and together with longer term maintenance, will likely cost more than the original (poor) construction. I can opt to cover the costs privately or pursue Dawt for liability via VCAT and DSCV.

The lesson for me (and my cautionary tale for readers) is to invest your money in a contractor who can provide quality construction, and you can verify via reviews, examples, and the ready provision of local jobs for your inspection. Don't get caught up in the differences between quote prices - you'll end up paying more eventually. Buy once, cry once. Buy cheap, buy twice.

Called DLS to remove and repost 42m of steel fencing.commited to a timeline and price but no showup. After multiple calls by me and realeastate agents pickedup the phone and forfited the job. Very unprofessional.

After visiting the site location and sending the quote and me accepting the offer did not respond to calls and now received a mail saying does not want to take up the job. I wasted 1 week waiting for him to do the job

Do not use although his prices are really good he doesn’t like to come back and fix his work I have had a few posts come loose one post he did come back and fix but it took a lot of messages to him and to take that matter further for him to come out as he would not answer my calls I then had to fix a post myself which was found that he had not concreted the post correctly and being that the fence is 2.1 m high he only used 2.4m post which is definitely not enough for a fence that size. I then had to change them to 2.7 posts I hope he hasn’t done that around my whole property I guess only time will tell.pay the extra money and go for a more reputable fencer. Would not recommend what so ever!

From obtaining the quote and installing the fence, the process only took under 2 weeks. The price was reasonable and the company extremely efficient with an excellent quality of work. Would recommend this company to anyone.
