After spending the good portion of my younger working life in the music retail business, and managing a store and opening a Tower Records superstore in Hong Kong, it was really awesome to walk through this store by happenchance back into the world of music. You can tell the store is managed by music lovers and I miss the good ol days more than ever now!

A great place to buy recorded music or that elusive blu ray disc! A huge selection.in my opinion better than the record fairs on FB.

Within minutes i realised why Dixon's went from a multi-site operation to just two stores during a vinyl resurgence.just awful.like crack house

Took a bag in of approximately 100 used cds/dvds to sell mainly metal/rock/pop, some were average condition but the majority were in good nic and not scratched. The guy took about 15 minutes to go through them all which I thought was quick and didn't offer me a cent, very disappointed, thought I would of got something for them.

Love this place for second-hand music, tv and movies. Always something interesting, even if they don't happen to have what I'm hoping to find.

Been a few times over the years.good shop for heavy metal, old rock and all in between. But…. Sold an awesome original LP (in good condition) with two others, looked it up and this particular one sells for $50, $80 even above $100 I have seen.
Sandwiched between the other two I was quickly shown and told I’ll give you $30 for the three? Show the customer what you are doing and what your taking.not hide it in between two others.

You never know what you'll find; I've picked up some amazing things here over the years; things you simply wouldn't find in a standard retail outlet like JB.

God tier selection of CDs, Vinyl and DVDs with new stuff always coming in. Staff are also super friendly and helpful.

Great treasure trove of new, old and in between! Well set out store with friendly service. Could spend hours in here.

Great trip down old memories wandering through the isles, decent prices on most things. Some of the more collectible items are more than I'd expect but that's the nature of collectible stuff.
It would be SO good if they had a digital catalogue, I spent an hour reminiscing but didn't buy anything. I'll keep checking when I'm nearby.

Disappointed in their selection of vinyls. Nothing much better than an opp shop. Used to be heaven back in the Brunswick st days.

An amazing store staffed by incredibly knowledgeable people who happily answered even the silliest question. They have records, CDs DVDs and much more for you to look through and purchase.

Dixon's is the best place I have ever been for hard to find records, cd's & DVD's, plus the knowledge these guys have, there the best Glenn.

Great store - something for everyone. I first went there in the 80s and it's still a fun experience flicking through the stock looking for a buried treasure.

I didn't spend 2 much in this business as the Covid19 situation was in full swing. I will be heading back there 2 take a proper. I am from the Country & was just killing while waiting on another local business 2 get an issue sorted 4me. The guy l spoke 2 at Dixon's was really helpfull & patient. I suffer with memory issues from a car accident several yrs ago. Hence his patience. In this day & age that quality is hard 2 find. As 4 there stock. They had plenty.
