Really very dan school. Please invest your money in a better school as this one is not cheap

Some of the teachers are so lazy, this college is one of the most expensive in the CBD, so, doesn’t make sense pay a lot of money for bad quality

Some teachers have too boring teaching methodology and waste too much paper on photocopies classes start late

The only good thing about this school is the teachers, different teachers from different regions and in the same week you can have up to 3 different teachers. But the facilities are small, the lifts are old and almost always fail and not to mention the administrative staff, many times when you are asking for something they say no without even knowing what you are asking. The truth is that it is a very expensive school, to receive such bad attention.

I absolutely loved studying at Discover English! A big shout-out to Matt for being professional, helpful and the best teacher! I studied CAE and IELST.recommended if you are after studying English and passing your English tests.

Some teachers are not professional who just read the text not teach or answer.

The reception seems like they don’t care about students feeling and feedback.

I think the only good thing is the location of this school, but there are many English teaching schools in CBD too.

Not recommend.

But it is a good place to waste your money.

Uncomfortable school such as no book support student! Just copy paper. The elevator very slow.and quite old. Some teacher don’t teach follow a book. Sometime we self study. I’m really disappointed.

That’s unfortunate to write this review, just wondering that the relevant authorities could get involved with this and stop theses people to keep abusing the Professionals by not being responsible for their actions!
My wife as a professional dentist, enrolled to seat on the OET exam (part of Ahpra registration steps to issue the provider number).
One of the exam conditions was to provide the headset for Listening part, the exam conducted in 4 levels at the center, & surprisingly, candidates on 1 level which my wife was there as well, left without the headset!

We tried to ask them the reason for such unfair approach, but couldn’t get anywhere!

To whom it may concern or has been already affected by the Centre; We would appreciate it if you could share this with the relevant authorities to:
1. To Compensate our losses both time and money wise.
2. To take some legal action to prevent similar incidents for all other professionals who will be sitting in the same venue which more likely results to a pre-set “Fail”!
We definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CENTER AT ALL, and suggest not to waste your money to get the FAIL result like us!

The school is famous for being very good and quality, yet it is uncared for keep it.
General English courses almost teachers are very good. I have to say congratulations to the teachers you have like Lucy, Lian, Con and Matt but, a few of teachers need more preparation about classes and less talk.
I was so disappointed in classes such as EAP and IELTS. It was not I expected.
I understand that none of the schools were prepared to give online class however, I think you might do more to be better. For example, each three weeks feedback with the students about classes. In 22 weeks I has never a survive feedback to fill out about classes.
Some teachers wouldn't prepare classes or not know the material of the class well.
I felt good attention in reception and from the teachers but, I think some people who work in part administration, lack friendliness and understand the students.
In the most difficult situations you get to know what schools considers students humans being. Not only for business.

Half of the teachers I had had no teacher training. They made us play games without any pedagogical purpose.

The best learning experience I've ever had. Amazing and funny teachers. LGBT friendly. Good structure. It is simply fantastic! I miss so much to study there.

I Did my general english course here in 2014 when it was a different building. Then In 2016 I decided to went back to study english for academic purposes and I choose Discover english again. And I will never regret. This is the best english insitute. The teachers, the supportive teams all over the organisation. Their amazing social media to conect with the student and the activities. I had a really good experience here.

Discover English is the best school in Melbourne! Staff and teachers are probably the kindest people I’ve ever seen! The quality of teaching is really good. I fully recommend this school ️

Poor answering of the reception phone, in not understanding the person attempting to speak English, sent warning bells to us first up. Whilst attending the facility, not friendly in meeting customers, no support whatsoever, a cold damp exam room. In reading part A, no headings at all to direct one in how to proceed, a 3 hour wait later in the day, for the speaking part. Overall, a waste of money with an expected outcome for most which would require a follow up return a great expense. This place is any thing but boutique, and not friendly. Stay well clear, we will be reporting our findings.

As a homestay provider I have hosted students from various countries all around the world. The students who study at Discover English are always highly complimentary of the school and teachers. DE is one of the best English language colleges in Melbourne.

They have problems to support students and they are so rude
I paid lots of money but i didn't get anything from this school
They need to learn how to support students before they teach English us

I studied there but my experience was worst then my expectation. I am sad to say that but previous course was better than discover (I studied couple of teachers unfortunately only 1 of them was good). For that money service is weak.

I have been impressed with the staff here. My wife studies here and she seems to enjoy every day and to be making improvements
