I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. Firstly prices quoted were ridiculously high, only $40 cheaper than a brand new fridge of the same model. Then there’s the lack of customer service - The guy who was serving us was eating an apple while speaking to us. And then he couldn’t be any ruder when we suggested that his quote pricing was quite high given the condition of the fridge. After that he walked off angrily back to his desk and left us there dumbfounded. Never again coming back to this store!

I was close to making a purchase after a lot of haggling. However, upon asking about the warranty, the Owner says one year BY THE MANUFACTURER but I know Blanco's offer is for 2 years. So I contacted Shriro (the distributor) and here is their response: "Discount Electrical are not an authorised retailer of Shriro Australia PTY LTD. We seem to think that they purchase our discontinued stock from other retailers and then on-sell them with a 12 months vendor warranty which Discount Electrical are responsible for.

Should you choose to purchase an appliance from Discount Electrical, there will not be a manufacturer's warranty. "

I wouldn't trust a retailer to honour the warranty. The perceived saving is not worth it for me without knowing where the stock has come from.

Disgusting service, especially if you run into problems with your service, string you along until your warranty is expired, then they try to sell you a new product. Fighting for a refund was such a difficulty, there were threats made and voices raised. DO NOT BUY HERE!
