Dingley Thai Restaurant reviews
37Food is good but considering the price I paid I would at least want the container of Larb to be filled fully. Not half way. This happens every time, if you are going to charge that much at least fill the containers up!
Food is rather overpriced and does not taste good, also not authentic enough. Other Thai restaurants have better service and food with less cost. Can do better.
Very underwhelming overall experience. Pointed out the mould o the top of the white capped water bottles. When l went to pay the lady with the white/ grey hair was quite rude. Definitely will not be going back.
There was a bit of a mixup with our group booking as 5/7 of our party thought it was booked for next Monday. Pat our host was very accommodating and we got a table for two. Food had such lovely flavours of lemon grass, coriander, coconuut and chille. Mum loved the Tom Yum Goong (Prawns) and I particularly enjoyed the Chu Chee Duck and the Konam desert. Overall, a lovely venue to dine in, good atmosphere and decor, with excellent service and a cheerful host. Looking forward to other occasions when we can dine here.
The staff at Dingley Thai restaurant are very friendly and professional. The food is very tasty and of good quantity. Our daughter has a nut allergy and we advised the staff, they took utmost care to ensure the dishes were nut free. Definitely recommend the restaurant. We had a great time
Great food and great service.
Update Feb 2023 - since my last review, I need to add that I generally eat there twice a month and always had delicious meals.
Amazing food.
Amazing service.
Halal.
All over absolutely delicious!
We ordered: Thai fried rice, chicken in cashew nut, pad Kee mao and Tom yum soup (and some jasmine tea on the side)
Because we were visiting from NSW, the area was not familiar to us. We wanted to take our hosts out, so they chose the Dingley Thai Restaurant. It was a good choice.
It was an interesting restaurant that I will definitely add to my favourites and will try to visit again. I like the décor and the service. The food was great too.
Wow, who knew you would get fantastic Thai in Dingley!
Owner is lovely, service is great and food is some of the best in Melbourne.
Highly recommend.
Order messed up. Taste not as good, Pad Thai full of soy sauce. Usually it's pretty good, this time was disappointing.
Excellent chicken green curry!
Just enough spice, plenty of soft chicken and vegetables with loads of the beautify green curry “ sauce”
Highly recommend, have not eaten take way from here for a couple of years, quality is still awesome
Exceptional Thai cuisine with friendly and helpful staff. It has been my favourite Thai restaurant for many years and never fails to deliver. A special recommendation for the vegan Pad Thai.
Food was delicious, didn’t have to wait long before we were feasting on the well presented dishes that were put before us. Good atmosphere with some light music playing in the background. Highly recommended.
Worst delivery service. We ordered food through Uber and got a different order delivered. Tried to contact the restaurant. No answer. Can’t get the name of the driver as the Uber driver may have been from the restaurant itself. The wrong food delivered is still intact, we haven’t touched it as we don’t eat meat.
1st time ordering from Dingly Thai Restaurant. I decided to opt for delivery. The food was delicious and arrived super hot! Very impressed with the quality of the food. Highly recommend the spring rolls, pad see ewe and green curry. My allergies were handled very well. No issies at all! Looking forward to trying more from the menu!
First time ordering from here and literally 10/10 everything was DELICIOUS, being Thai myself I've never been a fan of Thai food given the the last few places never were up to scratch but dingley Thai you GUYS ROCK
From the moment we stepped foot in the door, we were greeted with beautiful smiles and warmth. The staff were so friendly and pleasant, not to mention great with kids.
We ordered 3 or 4 entrees, soups and 2 mains. To be honest, between the entrees and soup alone, I was already feeling full. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious.
The chef, and owner Pat came out of the kitchen to check everything was okay, and stayed for a chat. Pat was lovely, and the fact she was seeking feedback about our experiences at Dingley Thai, proved that she cares and is always striving to provide the best experience for their customers.
Thanks Dingley Thai, can't wait to come back
Great to see hand sanitizer on every table.
Pickup was made on time.
But I found the meals and roti had too much oil for my taste. If you like that style, then this would be a great choice.
Dingley Thai Restaurant is a family own business. The restaurant has thai authentic ambients feeling. The space is a little bit tight as the place is small. The food is well prepared. The food portion seems a bit on the small side. I'm not to sure the food is authentic thai but is more of asian-thai fusion. The dishes are not too spicy. The restaurant location is at a neighborhood, so parking space may be limited if you trying to have a party. Overall, the food is good, not too spicy, the portions are decent and ambient is nice.
