Did U Eat / Night Diner reviews
57Little renovation can do better.and more cleanliness in kitchen area …. Howvere I like the food
We discovered this place completely by accident a year and a half ago when nothing else was open at 12am. I love Indian food and am always trying to find new places to try out. In the years before, and months after discovering the Night Diner I have not found its equal anywhere.
This is genuinely the best Indian food I have ever eaten, and no, I'm not friends with the owner. I just know good food when I try it. Unlike so many other places the food here isn't oily. I never feel heavy or overfull afterwards. It's also the best priced food in Melbourne.
The decor is plain and unpretentious. The staff are very friendly and talkative.
I absolutely love the creamy chicken and mattar paneer.
Do yourself a favour and try this place out. Make sure you grab some Chaa on your way out. You won't be disappointed. I know we never are.
Dont try. They will scam you if you are not their race. Charge more and serve little.
Its not worth. Previous reviews are a lie coming from their peers.
Authentic Pakistani and North Indian Taste!
Go to place to order food while at late night shifts. The food is awesome and tastes great. I would especially like to appreciate the value, $15 on Ubereats for a bowl full of rice and Curry is just awesome. Keep it up
Ruined my night and mood with this food. Had to get something else late night. Totally unhygienic place. Poor quality food. I have thrown all of that food literally.
(Don't try this at home/restaurant)

This is genuinely the best Indian food I have ever eaten, and no, I'm not friends with the owner. I just know good food when I try it.
The menu changes daily depending on what the cooks feel like making that day, and unlike so many other places the food here isn't oily. I never feel heavy or overfull when I eat the food here.
The decor is plain and unpretentious, but we usually take away anyway. The staff are very friendly and talkative.
I absolutely love the creamy chicken and mattar paneer. The pakora curry is really good too.
Do yourself a favour and try this place out. Make sure you grab some tea on your way out. You won't be disappointed. I know we never are.
Super cheap but super delicious. One of the few restaurants being open post midnight and is worth every penny. One might not like the ambience and the place but if you are just for Indian food, it's perfect.
I try to see the best in a restaurant but eating there three days ago has left me extremely ill. I have gotten a severe food poisoning from there right after eating there. It was too stuffy, dark, filled with people, and customers waiting and waiting to be severed for more than thirty minutes. They don't have any system on who to serve first and cleanliness was not existing whatsoever. I heard kids standing outside and complaining to their parents that they have seen spiders and many spider webs in this restaurant. This is a complete unacceptable. I would not recommend this place to anyone, I am still recovering.
Very yummy good. Don't let the looks of this place fool you. Really tasty cheap authentic cuisine. The rotis come fresh out of the oven and everything is fresh.
Always good and tonight excellent. Don't look at the decor, taste the food! If you want home comforts, order in.
The Mango Lassi when not all sold out is a treat especially on a hot night and for those of us with an extra sweet-tooth there is the delicate Indo-Pak dessert, Gulab Jamun. After about 8pm-9pm there is always a big pot of Chai on the boil. It is tasty and it is also on the house. Enjoy!
They don’t check their online order before people get there.
They made me wait for half an hour when I got there to pick up my food even though I made my order another half an hour ago.
Btw, it’s dirty!
Bad experience with ubereats from this restaurant, they replace briyani with white rice on the curry but it still taste horrible, might as well offer another different dish? Portion is small as described on the listing, will not order from them again
Best curry in Melbourne. Legendary restaurant. Richmond's best kept secret. Lamb mince is amazing, naan top notch.
Yes I ate and it was so good. 2 vegetarian curries and the naan was off it's head.loved the chai to close things out. 5 stars
I had a two curry with naan deal. The total value of money. Definitely recommended. Great option for dinner for one. Just what you need after a tiring day. Loved it.
So delicious! The leg piece chicken just melts in your mouth. The roti is so perfect, it remains soft even the next day. Thier lamb keema and chapli kebab is so authentic, aromatic and simply amazing. & to top it up, the cooks are not just friendly, they love what they do. And yes, healthy oil and neatly done. Thumbs up
Absolutely amazing taste at ridiculously low prices. The okra (aka Bindhi or Ladies finger) and the minced lamb curry are simply unbelievable.
This is some of the best food I’ve had in Melbourne. If you’re looking for authentic, spicy, aromatic, clean-tasting, yum and inexpensive Indian food then swing by.
I hard recommended the yogurt curry, the chickpea curry, the red bean curry and the breads cooked to order in the tandoor. My boyfriend always gets the goat curry or that grilled chicken they do.
Super friendly staff and always a warm welcome! They even let us bring our own reusable tubs. Love this place! <3
Under this roof you will see how two brothers (Indian and pakistani) sitting together and chilling. Keema is one of my favourite bhai jaan.
Good quick dinner stop. Buffet choices and you will never be disappointed with food. Full of flavour.
