Diana Ceramic reviews
26Great experience, had a great time recommend to anyone who loves art and craft and enjoys the creative side of life
Diana was incredible! Such a lovely bubbly instructor. Thank you for having us Diana, 10/10 would recommend!
We took the Wheel Throwing Workshop for Beginners. Our 12 year old and 10 year olds loved the class as did we as parents. Madison was a calm guide and was always on hand to help. We had plenty of time to try try again to get our practice up and created a couple of items that will be fired and ready to pick up in a month. On walking in we advised that it was our daughters birthday and they went the extra mile of bringing out a sparkler in some clay. This made the day even more special for her.
I would definitely recommend this workshop.
Had a wonderful time at Diana Ceramic learning how to make pottery on the wheel. Our instructor Sonya was fantastic - a really good teacher and very encouraging. The studio is beautiful and all the little touches (cheeseboard, chocolates, wine, etc) really made the whole experience extra special! Would highly recommend the Mud and Merlot wheel throwing class as it was the perfect introduction for beginners - would definitely go back again! Thank you Sonya and Diana!
Had a lovely day with family doing some great pottery. 3 generations and all had fun. Would highly recommend
A great experience. Lots of fun and Cane and Diana were wonderful instructors. Wasn't very good myself but the class definitely caters to beginners and gives you lots of opportunities for learning! Great night out.
Nice arthouse for group lessons and very well equipped. Very lucky to get instructor Ruth on my very first wheel throwing class. Love her enthusiasm, talent and knowledge about clay!
Diana was amazing and attentive. I could not be happier with the course. My jug looks so cute. Thank you Diana
I love Diana’s classes they always calm me down. She teaches well and the nibbles are on point haha. I love the pottery we did together:)
Did a painting ceramic course. Booked through class bento for an afternoon session, but then there were last minute changes to morning via email and not phone. I prefer phone when there’s a change to the time. The decor and facilities of the venue was good. Suits for small parties etc.didn’t learn much at the session. It was pretty much self guided. After the piece was done. I found it terribly difficult to pick up my piece. Lucky I was nearby there, attempted to visit on their opening times but they were not open. Tried messaging and ringing the company to see what times they open and it took about a week for an answer. It is highly variable and on the website it doesn’t show you regular opening times. For special occasions it’s lovely but if you want to do long term classes I would go to a council one - cheaper and regular times
Diana helped me and my partner make two lovely handcrafted chai pots together. I have zero talent for pottery but Diana was extremely helpful and guided us through the entire process. She is knowledgeable, kind, patient and very talented. My only complaint is the pacing of the session which felt a little bit rushed at the end but otherwise this was a highly recommendable activity
My first pottery experience and it was fun. I was in a class of 8, although I do wish the one on one time with the instructor is more fairly distributed, as some students who already had their first piece still ended up getting additional time for their second; whilst a few of us received no guidance until the very last minute. Being the second last student who received my one on one time with the instructor, I pretty much spent the first hour blindly making mistakes and only had the final last 5 minutes to properly improve and experience the fun of pottery. When you received the one on one, it was really good and helpful. The quick demo session at the start has too much info for a beginner to remember. Overall it was still a nice experience in a cute studio, might be better if it provides video guidance playing on the screen if the instructor can’t attend to everyone equally.
This was by far the best ceramic class I've done in Melbourne. It so so informative and fun.
Steph explains how everything works very clearly and wheel throwing finally made sense to me. Will definitely be back.
Disappointed in the lack of understanding when I could not attend a class on a Friday evening due to having a child in emergencies at hospital.
I provided notice before the workshop started at 4: 31pm to the organiser who booked the group whilst sitting at the hospital. The workshop started at 6: 30pm.
The T&C’s does not cover emergencies and initially no rebook was mentioned in the email received.
Truly disappointing!
Had a very fun experience at the workshop. Beautiful ambience.
Diana is very knowledgeable and skilled at her craft. I made 3 pieces from 3 techniques taught by her. Clear instructions.
Highly recommended!
The hand building ceramics class was so much fun! The smaller size class and things we made were great. Diana was so knowledgeable and a great teacher
You claim that you can not give a refund with less than 7 days notice but the tickets were only bought 8 days before! Very poor service when they asked for the date to be rescheduled and not refunded
Honestly, I had never believed that pottery could be a fun activity, untill I tried it at Diana's amazing studio. My wife and I had a great relaxing experience, working with the clay. Our teacher was so welcoming and professional. She actualy helped us to make some small plates in our very first session, which was so amazing. Besides, we thoroughly enjoyed great platters and decent wine, which just was the cherry on top.
Such a great experience. A great way to unwind and relax. I had a great time and felt really good for a long time after. I would go back next and strongly suggest it to anyone who wants to relax for an hour.
Was looking forward to this class and attended the studio however the date was mixed up and was booked for the following weekend.
Tried to inform the studio on the Sunday that we could not make it however they were closed so made contact on Monday and we were told there was nothing that could be done as we had given 6 days notice instead of 7… and no exceptions could be made as the spots could not be filled in time. Prior to this the owner herself told us that “classes book out quickly in advance” so I do not see how the spots couldn’t have been filled.
I do not usually make poor reviews on small business’ however I have now lost $240 and already on a low income. Would not recommend!
