Diana Alpine Lodge

I was apprehensive about my first trip to the snow. Diana Lodge provided the comfort and assistance I needed to make the trip for my son and me memorable and rewarding. I loved the breakfast, which was the perfect portion and over looking the most gorgeous view. The rooms were clean, also had an amazing view (the International Room) and warm.it was lovely to meet the new owners too. Thanks Diana Lodge - we will be back!

Amazing place to stay. Amazing rooms. Really good showers (good water pressure!). Really friendly staff. A great place to relax at the end of the day, and good breakfast as part of the room. Very family friendly, but I was a single and was also amazing for me. Will probably come back next year!

The lodge is lovely and the international rooms are of a very good standard for Australian on snow accommodation. The sound proofing is fair to poor but a good day on the hill should have you sleeping through the neighbouring rooms noises. Our experience was a little off from the moment we set foot inside. The woman working reception was beyond rude to guests in front of us - literally saying “beggars can’t be choosers” to an enquiry. When it was our turn to check in the poor welcome continued when the same person said we would only be getting one room key - this ended up being the all the welcome we got. No explanation of facilities, no basic greeting nothing. We thought maybe it’s the end of the season, everyone is tired that day. Our whole stay however was as inhospitable- staff rarely said hello (Lisa said hello once), enquired about the day, offered the most basic of hospitality. It’s such a horrible atmosphere when you feel like an intruder or unwelcome on your holiday. So in general 5 star on snow accom, 1 star crew.

Lisa and Nellie were great hosts and so were Nutmeg and Skye. We loved every minute of our stay at Diana Lodge. The drying room was absolutely perfect as well. Great layout and size.

Lisa was a great host! Last minute booking over the long weekend and Lisa was very accommodating throughout the whole process and stay. Facilities are great, room was clean and comfortable and easy access to the mountain. Would highly recommend and would definitely be staying again!

Staffs are friendly and welcoming. Great customer service. The room is very cozy and tidy. Two friendly well behaved dogs. The breakfasts are pretty yummy. Definitely come back here again.

The photos of rooms on the website are for the new extension, whereas our room was quite shabby with light fitting missing, shower tap falling off, toilet door wouldn't close and the family room was fairly badly organised with old and extra furniture. The door to the neighbouring room let a lot of sound in from the neighbouring guests. There was a spa advertised, but it wasn't available for use. The drying room was very cramped for getting changed. The location of the lodge was good, and the breakfast was good. The staff were alternately friendly, or rather stressed and abrupt. It was the most expensive night we had ever had in a hotel either locally or internationally, and wasn't particularly good value.

They are all extremely helpful and friendly with excellent location that so close to the carpark and ski lift. Last but not least, the breakfast is exceptional!

Diana Alpine Lodge was a fantastic option to stay at Falls Creek. Has a very family-run feel to it, with exceptional service from all staff. Communication from time of booking through to arrival was excellent. I would definitely recommend this place as an option. Very close to the Gully charilift which makes it very convenient.

Overall, we had a good time at Diana Alpine Lodge. The place and linen were clean, the blankets were warm, the bathroom was modern and the heated towel rack was a nice touch.

Just a heads up, the coffee with the 'free breakfast' is $5.

As others have mentioned, sound proofing isn't that great. External street noises are expected however In our case, our room was situated directly above the dryer that would run every night until 2-3am.

It's also fair to have certain expectations of customer service that I don't believe were met. Upon placing our bags in the reception 5 minutes prior to our scheduled transport pick up and after one staff member said it would be ok, Lisa had snapped in front of my partner grabbing a bag and walking downstairs claiming the few items were a hazard. Kindly suggesting an alternative placement in a friendly manner surely isn't too much to ask? We decided to take our bags outside and wait for the transport outside while it was snowing heavily.

These are small things that can be improved. While I appreciate people can have a bad day, given the high price paid and location, I would've expected a better customer experience.

We, twowheeltours, went to Falls Creek for a five day private cycling tour and based ourselves at the Diana Alpine Lodge. Each day we rode to a different location such as Mt Buffalo, Omeo and Mt Hotham.

We had such an amazing stay. Lisa and her staff made us feel like we were at home for the entire stay. Providing amazing, hearty, breakfasts each morning, including barista style coffee, making picnic lunches when we requested and then each night substantial dinners and refuel us for the next days ride. There is also a bar

There is plenty of space to leave our bikes securely overnight, the beds are comfortable, rooms very clean and ultra-quiet at night. We were even able to do laundry half way through the tour.

10 out of 10 for everything and highly recommended, even if you are not cycling this is a great place to stay and base yourself for hiking, MTB'ing. I can just image that it would be the same during the ski-season.

Excellent service; clean, warm and comfortable rooms and facilities; competent, friendly and willing staff and good variety of great tasting meals and snacks made this a wonderful stay.

Wonderful Lodge, lovely friendly staff, clean modern rooms (we had a wonderful view too), amazing breakfast, fantastic location (ski to Gully lift), reasonably priced, we would highly recommend.

We have stayed a couple of times at Diana Alpine Lodge & will definitely stay again! The staff are all extremely friendly & always go out of their way to help. The location is perfect. Ski in ski out. Walking distance to everywhere. Ski hire across the road as well as fabulous restaurant (& their own food is fantastic).
