It was the worst restaurant I have ever been to. The atmosphere is beautiful, but it is an absolute rip-off. The food is not worth it at all. You can find better quality food at a better restaurant for the same price! My recommendation is to avoid this place entirely.

Amazing experience, service, food sensational. The staff were amazing, hosted all our dietary requirements and the kids and adults cannot stop talking about the lasagna. A must visit. See you again soon

My partner and I stumbled across this gem recently … sitting out in the courtyard felt like I was in a country town in Italy, just beautiful!
Food was amazing, we started with some house made focaccia, the prawn and chic peas was a hit! We shared the pennuto, a stuffed chicken wrapped in pancetta which was delicious followed by the famous cray fish pizza! Wow!
The floor staff were on the ball and very welcoming, my glass was never empty. We felt like royalty and great to experience such high levels of service
It was an amazing experience and definitely recommend

We had a gorgeous experience at Di Stasio. The venue was elegant with beautiful artworks. It really feels like dining in a modern gallery. The garden is also beautiful and a must for drinks. We had the lobster pizza and the soft serve to finish!

Had high expectations of this place because I’ve seen it pop up a lot on tiktok however was very disappointed with the food. I was expecting authentic gormet italian full of flavour but the food was very average. The king fish was actually not too bad but the mains were a let down and very over priced for what it was. Not a terrible experience but over rated in my opinion and not worth the money. The cocktails however were quite yummy, would probably only go here for drinks in summer.

Amazing food, one of the best authentic Italian restaurants in Melbourne. All waiters were great. Especially Ross. Beautiful Tuscan inspired outdoor courtyard is great too. Will definitely be on the re- visit list.

Lobster pizza was fantastic. Service was quick and attentive and drinks were quick to arrive when ordered. Had a lovely time and will bring company back next time.

The food was okay though to tell the truth I've made better pasta dishes at home myself. The serve was small & quite expensive for what it was & I needed to buy an extra something to eat elsewhere outside to satisfy my hunger! I don't mind paying round the $40 mark for a meal but for that I want to feel satisfied & not left wanting! Service was good, prompt & polite, atmosphere was kinda busy & a bit on noisey echoed side, but it was a busy night. I suggest they look at the portion size & condiments that come with the dish so patron can leave well fed! Pasta after all is a pretty cheap dish to prepare & if prepared right can be very filling! Good luck to their future prosperity!

The servers were friendly, the wine we ordered was very nice and overall the food was tasty with the garlic bread a stand out. BUT I would say this place was a bit confused about what kind of dining experience it was offering. We were provided with pens and asked to tick boxes on the paper menu to indicate our order. A gimmick which seemed inconsistent with the apparent fine dining aspirations of the place, felt like being asked to do admin and which I absolutely hated. The food and wine was very over priced for what we received. We were particularly irritated at the portion size of the pasta main which cost $38 (utterly outrageous). Strangest of all though was that it seemed the female staff were required to wear a uniform (some kind of brightly coloured shirt dress) but the male staff seemed to wear whatever they fancied. Overall, an irritating and off-putting dining experience. Like so many others, we won't return.

Very overpriced average tasting woodfire pizzas with most around $38. Lovely setting but at those prices l won’t be going back.

This place is only worthwhile going to if you can get seated in the courtyard. Food is average service is terrible inside of the restaurant sterile.

Overpriced, under whelmed by the taste and presentation of the food and even the cappuccino was poor. Shame as the outdoor looked nice however for food was disappointing and the price was insulting.

The service was amazing and the atmosphere was so chilled. The food was delicious. Would definitely recommend going here - however be aware that stilled water is $15 and a coke is $8.50! Maybe bring your own water and coke!

The Di Stasio name is justifiably celebrated and renown in this city however the pizza at the Faraday St Establishment is a let- down. Overall the stylish theme and good service continue but I find it difficult to justify the price for the pizza which was lacking flavour (salsicca-dont bother) with an undercooked crust- which I note is an issue with previous reviewers. Perhaps the expectation of crispy crust is unrealistic but isn't the whole idea to use your hands and not need a knife and fork?
Other non pizza options look enticing but as yet I cant comment.
I will remain loyal to the other DiStasio establishments but not this one.

Customer service is amazing, professional waiters and food was delivered quite quickly. But that's where the good ends for me unfortunately.

Prices shown for pasta are all entree pricing so when you go for a main serve and see the bill and you were charged $46 for a "main" serve of carbonara it's a slap in the face to say the least. My wife and I ordered a sparkling water, Caprese salad, carbonara and lasagne and we paid $135! I'd expect to pay that if we were drinking alcohol and having entrees.

If the pasta and lasagne for $90 was AMAZING I would cop the sly pricing but you could go across the road to Ms Frankie and have just as nice pasta for less $$$.

BEYOND DISSATISFIED, DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND DONT COME HERE THERE IS A REASON THEY HAVE 3 STARS. Don't be fooled when they ask if you want sparkling or still water, by still they don't mean tap they mean a $15 bottle of still water. However they fail to mention tap as an option so they trick you into paying $15 for either sparking or still. But that's not the worst part. We ordered 2 pastas, a $36 pasta mind you which is classified as the small pasta. However for $36 you don't imagine the pasta to be smaller than a child's portion. I couldn't help but laugh in shock when the pasta came out. It was a joke of a size, I would pay $10 max for how small it was.
It looks like the size of pasta when you're finished eating and there's such a small portion left you consider taking it home in a doggy bag but you're almost embarrassed to because there is such a small amount left.beyond disgusting for the price.

Not to mentioned for real Italian "carbonara" it tasted like Mac and cheese from the packet. The interior is beautiful I'll give them that but it is not worth the child size portions, blunt and not helpful waiters and $15 water that is FREE from the tap. To receive a $195 bill for 2 pastas, 1 entree, some bread and 2 drinks was a JOKE. I have nooo issue fine dining and paying for expensive dinners but this was ludicrous. No wonder they have 3 stars. Save yourself the money and go elsewhere. You guys have SO many bad reviews saying the SAME thing, maybe make a change?

Food was lovely, a little let down by the service this time. The italian courtyard, when the weather is sunny, makes the food taste even better.

Adding to the general consensus of reviews on here: extremely over priced and very small portion sizes for “main” pastas - which cost an extra $10 on top of the already hefty $39 clam spaghetti which had maybe 5 or 6 very small clams and that was it. Flavour was average, nothing special. All the pizzas were at least $35+ which I have never seen anywhere else in the world. Drinks were pricey too, all wines by the glass closer to $20. Only went here because it was the only ‘nice’ Italian restaurant open on a Sunday, and add to that a 10% surcharge on everything. Should’ve looked at the reviews on here first before we booked. Will not return and will tell others to avoid, shame when there are so many other great Italian places in the area.

The pizza is the hero at the latest instalment in the Do Stasio empire. Friendly service, interesting art and aesthetic, and scrumptious food nonna would approve of makes this a worthwhile detour in Carlton.
