I recently purchased a 120 Gig SSD drive from DF IT in Hawthorn Rd. I was offered a "as new" Samsung SSD drive for $50. It was purportedly removed from a new computer as part of an upgrade. Daniel put the Samsung in a western digital package for "protection" (so I did not see the date of manufacture on the case that read 2015) back at the office, I ran a utility on the drive and discovered it had been power cycled 1981 times with all the existing data still accessible via recovery software. I returned the drive, and packaging and was told it must have been sent to them from the factory in error. I won't make the mistake of entering their shop again.

Regarding your rebuttal.

When I inquired regarding a less costly alternative SSD drive, DF IT advised they were able to offer a new drive from an existing factory built PC. As the SSD drive was "As new" according to your staff, and was only being removed from the PC as part of an upgrade for a customer who wanted a larger drive, I thought $50 was a reasonable price for a small but brand new SSD drive. I would never have paid that amount for an SSD drive that was 3 years old and had been cycled 2000 times (due to the expected reliable life of an SSD drive being 3 years on average). Hence why I returned the drive.

Moreover, when I returned the drive to DF IT, the gentleman apologised for the inconvenience and claimed the factory must have sent the drive to DF IT along with the PC in error, suggesting it was included as part of a factory built PC.

At that point, I politely requested you take my details off your data base (apparently you haven't) and did not care to discuss it any further and left.

On a different note, you may consider securely wiping clients hard drive information prior to selling them on the market.

I too am sorry it ended this way as I am always looking to do business with reputable company's.

Excellent service quoted $120.00 per hour by other companies, but dropped off laptop to DF IT solutions they fixed the problem ASAP and could not be more helpful for a fraction of the price, excellent service I would use them for any future issues.

Daniel and Michael at DF IT solutions were AMAZING! So great to deal with and went above and beyond to get my computer fixed for the cheapest price they could, and also did everything possible to meet a deadline I had as well. Friendly staff, reasonably priced and good turn around in repairing my laptop. Picked it up the following day I had dropped it off. Waited a few weeks before writing this review in case some gremlins popped up after the repair but everything has been running smoothly:)
