Loved the ambience, modern Indian dhaba in Australia. Gives Indian Vibe. Super quick service. Kid friendly my champ was busy in play area while we ate.
I tried samosa Chaat, chicken Tikka, Noodles and Veg Manchurian. Out of all the mentioned dishes only chicken Tikka was just average 3 out of 10 and this is when I drove 52 kms to eat and I was super hungry. When you see all female cooks expectations rise automatically but that was not the case. TIP - Get an air-fryer, buy frozen stuff get chutneys from Indian store and I bet they will taste better. If you disagree with my review I bet you haven't tasted even close to real DESI STREET FOOD. Just trying to save some money of people who are going for food.

We totally love the place. They have the best chaats in town. Plus place reminded us of Indian streets.

Very delicious food although hot was too hot but still loved it. We enjoyed Mitha Paan and Desert.worth visiting this restaurant.

I specifically called and asked to make my chicken 65 not spicy for my kids when it came and my daughter ate it it was really spicy, manchurian balls were literally swimming in watery soup, the noodle burgers patty was rock hard! Not recommended

Yesterday, my wife and I visited this place that had a distinctly Indian feel to it. While the food and service were just okay, the atmosphere left an impression on us.

As we entered the restaurant, we were immediately transported to India with its vibrant colors, decor, and music. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and we felt comfortable as soon as we sat down.

The menu had a variety of Indian dishes, and we decided to try a few different items. While the food was decent, it didn't quite meet our expectations, and we felt that some of the dishes lacked flavor.

The service was friendly and efficient, but it didn't stand out as exceptional. Our server was polite and attentive, but we didn't feel that he went above and beyond to make our dining experience exceptional.

Overall, while the food and service were okay, the atmosphere left a lasting impression on us. If you're looking for an Indian-themed restaurant with decent food and friendly service, this might be a good option for you.

We were just served mouldy mango lassi. My 3 year old drank it and thankfully knew that it had turned sour!

We are not the kind who would kick up a fuss but this is a major food safety issue. The owner said the fridge has stopped working and obviously made excuses like inexperienced staff (they have had the same staff since the last 1 year atleast) etc.

Unfortunately, we did not take photos of the mouldy lassi which we should have.

Food was good (sandwiches) but they have just ruined it for us now. Anyways, hope the owner reads this and considers the fact that this could easily be the reason his restaurant could get into trouble with FSA if we decide to report it.

Absolutely not worth visiting. Had ordered vegetable Frankie and it was awful. And the worst thing was, a girl who was serving was full of attitude. She doesn’t have basic etiquettes of customer service.

My second thoughts on Desi Chatka. Sandwichs are great and ragada pani puri handsdown best in Melbourne. Easily skip the indo-chinese stuff. I haven't tried the Pizza stuff and you get real sweet paan.
Waiting is still the only pain point of an another wise great food joint.

Wait time kills the deal.
Ordered a pani puri, showed up after 20 min. Taste wasn't bad then ordered Dahi puri but sadly had to leave before it was served as I had to be somewhere else and simply didnt have time to continue to wait. Didnt anticipate such a big wait time.

The food, the experience and the theme - Everything was just excellent. We tried a variety of things - chat, indo-chinese, curries and breads, finished with meetha paan and everything was simply to the point.
Special mention to the owner who is passionate about the food and takes special interest in giving the best all-round hospitality experience.
Highly recommend them for an authentic indian dhaba style food and will look to come in later again.

The waiting time was extremely delayed, poor customer service and digital ordering process. Very little food quantity with bad quality, lack of taste and a total ripoff. Lastly, the falooda was of extremely bad quality with excessive badams and lack of taste overall. It was not falooda at all.

The ambience has typical Indian vibe! The owner is a friendly person and the staff is warm!

This place is a good reminder for chaat food from back home. We have been here pre and post covid couple of times and like the place. There are couple of things that have put us off earlier but I guess they have improved based off our last visit.

Chaat food is definitely a must try. Pani Puri and Papdi chaat was mouth watering. Italian Indian Pizza reminds me of street pizza back home.

A few things that was a turn off was Indo-Chinese and Frankie. Lot of scope for improvement.

They do have a Pan stall which is a bonus.

Went for dinner! Tried best of desi chatka sandwich, noodles, paneer chilli gravy and paan was OMG! Food was loaded with cheese.customer service was on point! Staff is soft spoken and gentle.must try. (thanks for free candies too)

22nd sept 22-came here with family for snacks and dinner. It was still the same taste! We got pizza, sandwiches (yummiest), noodles etc and everything was delicious.
However, we tried mains as well and chicken was sooooo good along with their daal and tandoori roti/garlic naan.
Absolutely yummiest!

Worst street food place. There is no flavour in anything. It was a waste of money. Won’t recommend it to anyone.

We have been visiting this place since it has opened up. Food is great. We love the pani puri, Chole kulche, Italian Pizza, club Sandwich & Chilli Cheese Sandwich.

Service is pathetic. Taste was bad. They took nearly an hour to deliver 2 rotis and dal tadka.
