I am the new owner of the award winning home Wendy wrote of below. It's an absolutely stunning and comfortable home, worthy of its award winning status! I'm leaving a review about Derbyshire's post building customer service as I haven't used them personally and can only attest to the quality of this home they've designed and built. I was hoping to obtain any plans, specifications etc they still held for my future reference, and upon contacting them was thrilled to discover they still held them despite the passage of time, and were willing to provide copies to me free of charge when requested. Unfortunately the pandemic and lockdown occurred before we could coordinate me collecting them. When I really needed the plans etc a few months later, despite the difficulties due to the pandemic still present I emailed hoping we may be able to coordinate me collecting them if I followed social distancing etc rules when coming into the office. Within a day the lovely staff had copied all documentation they had then hand delivered it all to my letterbox! I now have every last detail of my stunning new home I can refer to, and could not be more appreciative for these invaluable documents. Copying everything would've taken them much time and effort, yet they were willing to happily do this for me, the new owner of their beautifully designed and built home around 10 years after they'd built it. Fantastic old fashioned customer service with a smile, and I feel absolutely assured I can highly recommend Derbyshire to everyone as I know the quality of their build lasts, the design of this home is timeless so not outdated even a decade later, and that their customer service is exemplary. Thank you Derbyshire!:)

I built with Derbyshire a few years ago. I’d shortlisted a few builders and spoke to them as I’d heard they had a good reputation. After a quick phone call we sat down and had a meeting where they talked through the whole process, my design brief, budgets etc. I chose them as they were clear on the realities of building, seemed good to deal with and just generally gave me a good feeling. We got started straight away and that good feeling carried throughout the whole journey. They nailed the design, communicated well and built me an awesome house – which ended up winning a few awards. Working with Derbyshire Homes was professional and streamline.attention to detail, flexibility and regular communiation way past signing the contract stage! From the design through to handover our association was personable and professional and I couldn't have asked for anything more. I think the thing I liked the most though was that everything was IN to start with and I could cull it as I wanted to fit my budget, rather than just starting with the basics and then having to add Extras - thus there were very few variations along the way and I knew what I was dealing with up front. No surprise costs - Well done Derbyshire!

This was our second build with Derbyshire in 5 years. When sourcing a builder for our second home, the decision was an easy one.
We knew the quality of the build would be spot on, attention to detail never compromised, and we were dealing with a small family run business that are extremely passionate about every project they take on.
We cannot praise Tibor enough. Tibor manages each project like it is his own build. He truly is as asset to the team.
If we were to build again, we would only enlist Derbyshire, but we are so thrilled with our forever home that there'll be no need. Derbyshire ticked all the boxes and we can't thank them enough for building our dream home.

From the moment we walked into the Derbyshire offices to have our first meeting with Noel we could sense that we had found the right builder. From this initial meeting, right through the construction and after completion we have found every interaction with Derbyshire to be open, honest and they always did what they said they would. With just a few minor iterations the architect captured the essence of what we had in mind for our beach escape then throughout the construction we were kept informed on progress and with each visit to site we made we were, quite literally, amazed at the quality of the work and the attention to detail in all aspects of the build. Derbyshire has certainly gone above and beyond any builder we have used in the past and far exceeded our expectations. Almost a year on and we can honestly say that there is nothing that we can fault about the house, even after having it being used as a holiday rental for the past 8 months and around 100 different people staying there. We still marvel at the workmanship in different parts of the house and the feedback we get from the many guests who have stayed is that this house really is something special. We look forward to every moment we can spend in it. This house is, without doubt, the best thing we have ever done and we constantly thank our lucky stars that we stumbled across Derbyshire and selected them to build our dream holiday home.
