I attended for the purpose of making a will. What should have been a straight forward productive experience was ruined by the toxic, unhelpful and aggressive attitude of the so called solicitor I met. I walked out after 5 minutes of trying to deal with her ridiculous combative approach. Avoid this place, one star is generous.

Incorrect Advice given. Some, quite a lot of very important advice given by Anna Araneta and others was totally the opposite to the reality. My advice is to stay well clear. They also failed to provide detailed invoices, my new lawyers are far less rude, blunt and show a great deal more interest and understanding in my case than Denise Dwyer. In fact despite my repeated requests they have failed to supply me with a detailed invoice. I have asked 3 times. All they provided is money paid and money spent by them on my behalf (bulk amounts with no reference as to what is was for) My new lawyers provide a detailed invoice showing every call, taken or made, it's duration and with whom, every email sent and read etc. All this company does is provide an invoice ($5,000.00 paid $7,000.00 spent) please pay X amount into our trust account. They must have the details of each call, email etc otherwise how do they provide a bill for their clients. Do they have something to hide? I recall and still have a copies off receiving 3 emails from Anna within a 6.30 minute period. I emailed her back saying "please don't send me 3 emails when all the subjects could be sent in 1 email).
Don't touch this company with a barge pole is my VERY FIRM advice. Comparing my new lawyer with Denise Dwyer I have found them to be far better and MUCH MUCH less expensive than Denise Dwyer. My reply to your response is Why would I send 4 email requesting detailed invoices if I already had them? In relation to your comment I was "shopping for lawyers" Well when a lawyer? Gives you advice which is totally wrong what else would you suggest I do? In relation to "the Barrage of emails"you refer to I can only suggest that it was the 4 emails I sent requesting an itemised account so as to pay you. It would be foolish to send a barrage of emails when I am paying for each one sent. You gave me TOTALLY INCORRECT advice, I am seeking advice as to whether I should take action against your firm for providing totally wrong advice and in what form that action should be compiled of.

A Disappointing experience, Having not been in a position of requiring representation before i was hoping that I would receive more support.

My perception only, but did not seem overly interested in assisting me or guiding me through this process.

I have engaged the services of Denise and Anna on numerous occasions over the last twenty years. I have always felt supported and cared for, to the best of there ability. I have no hesitation in recommending this professional firm.

An absolutely terrible and atrocious experience here! Particularly with Denise Dwyer (the supposed barrister). She was representing the safety of my child, yet knew absolutely NOTHING about my case! As a result Denise Dwyer could only "um and ah" when speaking to the magistrate and didn't even attempt to defend us against the other party. Which left my child being put back in a VERY dangerous position (which there has been further evidence of abuse since). I honestly could have done a better job representing myself! Denise Dwyer should really be retired as she clearly isn't fit to represent anybody in court. As for Anna, whilst she was okay (and I must reiterate ONLY okay/ fairly average) in the beginning, she had absolutely no care factor when things became a bit more complex regarding the abuse of my child. All she seemed to care about was the money involved.

I had a bad experience with another lawyer so decided to give Anna at Denise Dwyer Lawyers a chance after reading various reviews. So glad I did as she was very helpfu with numerous questions I had and helped make my legal matters simple and straightforward. I highly recommend her and have no hesitation in using her services in the future

I didn't see Denise herself (who is reported to be good at what she does), but instead saw the other solicitor Anna. After seeing her on three occasions, I found her to be very unempathetic, judgemental, passive aggressive and with a distinct lack of enthusiasm. I was left with the feeling that she could not or would not do her best to assist me; thus I found another Law firm and ended up with a positive outcome. I was not looking for sympathy, just good legal representation and with such sensitive and important issues as Family Law, a little bit of empathy and professionalism goes a long way with clientel confidence.
