The best thing about Richmond Traders is DeMaria’s. I love buying my fruits and vegetables here. Their produce is always fresh and top quality. Prices are reasonable too. But they have a tendency to (over) charge me (honest mistake I reckon) for the wrong mandarins. Make sure you tell them “Afourer” or “Imperial” as the price difference is a lot. Overall, a good local grocer with friendly staff (the fruit veggie staff are nicer than the deli staff).

Just be careful. Mangos.they were overpricing them. One was 2 other was 4. I picked a 2 and charged 4. Asked why? They gave the most poxy excuse. Shirt on space. Short on space! Oh lol. Try short on BRAIN SPACE. And im not gay

Fantastic selection of French cheeses at the Deli. Produce is always fresh and well priced for the quality of food. This is a reliable grocer, so easy to support the business. It’s a Richmond gem.

Thank you so much to your good service and friendly staff and mostly with providing us very great fresh produces. My first experience when shopping here was when I was short of cash and the cash register wave it for me, I was so touch and very overwhelm for their generosity their compassionated act and kindness was such a surprise. That doesn’t happen a lot at other place I shop. Few times after meeting John the owner I have asked if his employee had put out their pocket for that short chance or he have allow his team/staff that’s ok and if these event does happened it is alright to helps the customer out. I question John and his reply was the Staff can do that not too worry is what we can do to help. Is not at all a problem. Thank to John and his employees whom are so kind to extended that kindness. I’ve continued to experience many greater exchange friendly helpful service each times am there. The last trip was and few in between I’ve request for a special Xmas holiday favour to put the fresh cherry on hold- hope is a fresh box for me to pick up on the day I’ve selected which is nearly 3 days booked in advance. It was no trouble to their teams to do so, for me was important as is a very important gift for a very special person at Work. To do that I feel they have given trust to me and vice Vera’s and due to we have build a connection and service was great because John and his team are very lovely and well trained.
For me am so grateful for that connection with our local grocery shop owner and it felt as a very VIP shopping experience. Am just very thankful for the last 12 months greatest experience I had whenever am shopping with the staffs helps. I stop going to Victoria Garden as because I’ve loves the interaction each times. With out them being in this community we wouldn’t know any difference of what is good or not good service and great fresh produce. I hope your Business growth strongly and stay forever as long as possible for us to enjoy all your thoughtfulness in what you do and support our community with a healthy choice paying for what you get and more. Go out of my way to shop here - produce is fresher, tastier and cheaper than the big supermarkets. Deli selection is excellent too.

An excellent grocer, with competitive specials on fruit and veg, good quality food and friendly staff. One of the cashiers recognised me and returned a water bottle I thought I had lost, she had kept it safe for several days. Wonderful service.

I’ve been shopping at DeMaria’s in Richmond since opening and been very happy with the quality and service … until now. Yesterday I bought a 2 litre St David full cream milk which was of poor quality. It refused to froth in my coffee machine. It was watery and of questionable flavour. The manager told me firstly she couldn’t accept it back and that because it had been opened she couldn’t resell it! Was she for real? This is after i said I’m returning it because the quality is bad. She said this was the first time anyone had complained. She then said she would give my money back but she was doing me a favour and that she wouldn’t do such a thing normally. It wasn’t over the $6 refund … I said she needs to know so she can tell her supplier - otherwise how do they know they have a quality problem? This is an expensive milk cafes use and they would be returning it for exactly the same reason. She then said she had other customers waiting and turned her back on me. Since Richmond Traders has opened I have wanted to support the new kid on the block - even though it's much easier to shop in one go at Coles and for most of the time Coles fruit and veg is good enough.

As a long term Richmond resident I was overjoyed when DeMaria's opened and I sampled their goods! Fabulous quality and staff so helpful regarding information on the products. My day is always brighter after I've been to the store. Alice was my go to person today and her lovely smile brightened a dreary day! Thanks De Maria's.

Best grocer ever! The produce are in good quality and the prices are reasonable. We’re so lucky to have this as our local.

I feel very lucky to have De Maria’s around the corner from where I live. They have really amazing products, excellent service. If that’s not enough, there is a hard round cheese that my grandmother used to grate onto the pasta instead of Parmesan and they somehow managed to get in for me, I am very much obliged thank you!

Good prices for opening of store. They hope to keep prices competitive.
Fruit & Vegetables are good quality.
Deli has good selection of fresh salads, and fruit salads, juices. Some areas of Deli still in process of opening up, but easy to move around the isles.
You will need own bag, or you'll be charged. 10c a bag.
Staff helpful.
