I bought treated pine and merbau decking for my project but one piece treated pine was broken and merbau decking were bowed. It’s very hard to use and took me long time to straighten when installing. Also, no return for left over so be careful when you calculate the amount if you don’t want to waste money.

Cowboys. I bought ply from them in a pinch (first preference was Plyco but they we're too busy in the timeframe I needed). Asked for the cutting service and they provided the wrong sizes. Had to follow up three times before they cut the new pieces. They seemed to be more concerned about pinning it on the "Irish guy" (it wasn't the Irish guy). As I was in a hurry I didn't check what I picked up and they'd shafted me with some water logged pieces. Spent the next few days fixing that issue rather than deal with them again.
On another note, while I was there I watched the forklift operator balance a bunch of pine lengths of about 5 meters on top of other random items then lift it about 4 meters into the air. A customer entered into the yard as the operator was ferrying them through the yard and the operators just yells at him to get out of the way. Worksafe would have had them shutdown on the spot.

DeMar is not my closest Timber and Hardware place, so I go there when I need more specialised things for restoring my house. I've experienced a bit of sexism from some trade places, but not DeMar, they are great, very helpful, very friendly and they stock a good range of timber and hard ware.

This is a fantastic store. The staff are helpful and give good advice. They have a wide range of timber and other products. It's really great to be able to shop at a family owned business with people who care about their customers and their projects.

I notice it is a "lumber" store. It seems to be official, we are now part of the U. S. A. Well that's just bonza! Now after their election we can hate foreigners and people of dark skin with impunity. I can not rate the store as I have never been there.

Needed a few 2 metre timber planks so went to DeMar as they cut to size. The site is a masterpiece of order and neatness. It is easy to see all the different timbers they have from the entry gate. The guys were very helpful and competent. They also have a hardware store on site. Very happy with their service.

When it comes for construction of a new building, automatically hardware equipment’s come into mind. And of course, it should be because with only some bricks, cement, concrete and other material an individual can never develop a building.
