Deluxe Windows - uPVC Manufacture

All my house single glazed timber windows were replaced in 2023 with uPVC double glazed in two stages - Stage 1 was from another company who I had awful service from (***see end of this review to see that company’s name & further details) & for Stage 2 I engaged Deluxe Windows services. Stage 2 was the larger project and had 12 window sets replaced, which included sliding windows, sliding doors, tilt/turn windows & a lift/slide door.

I requested a quote from Deluxe Windows who’s price was competitive with others I received. Deluxe Windows use the German ‘Kommerling’ brand of frame profile. Sav, the owner, not only matched or beat the competitors’ quotes but even though I asked for standard clear glass in the quote, he included Low-E (low emissivity - for improved thermal insulation) glass in all units for no extra cost. He offered this at his own suggestion, not from my prompting. For my 1800mm wide sliding door, he also quoted for a Lift & Slide door, while others either quoted for the Aluplast Smart Slide door or a simple standard sliding door. An 1800mm wide double glazed (6.38mm laminated + 5mm toughened) is a very heavy door & standard sliding would be almost impossible to move. Please see my attached video that shows how smoothly & easily the Kommerling Lift & Slide door operates.
After signing the contract & when the glass was about to be ordered, he contacted me to ask whether I wanted privacy glass (white translucent) in the bathrooms & toilet. I hadn’t thought of that but agreed I needed it for the bathroom. Again this white translucent glass was included at no extra cost - this is after signing the contract! In my vast experience in the building industry, whenever there is a variation to the contract almost always triggers a cost increase or money grab. Sav could have done this - he didn’t. Honourable. Sav also didn’t request 100% payment prior to job completion, unlike a competitor of his (***see below).

All windows had flyscreens also installed - see example photo.

Sav & his team paid meticulous effort in the installation, including the cutting & installation of the new architraves & skirting (something people often don’t consider). I was also impressed with how he finished the sealing & waterproofing of the outside of the windows, including the head flashing above windows to allow runoff, where these particular windows have no eaves overhanging/protecting from direct rain.

Sav & Deluxe Windows even went so far as to fix up the poor work done by the Stage 1 company’s badly cut & assembled glazing profile (it was cut too short & hence incomplete). Again they did this even though they don’t use that frame profile (which was ‘Deceuninck’ brand - Deluxe Windows use Kommerling). Furthermore, it was done free of charge!

Hopefully, readers will get an understanding of the superior quality of Deluxe Windows & their work. I suggest you don’t use anyone else. Deluxe Windows simply goes above & beyond.

(***Please do not use the company named ‘PVC Windows Australia’, like I did for Stage 1 of my house windows. Amongst a plethora of issues with this company, they installed 3 broken double glazed units despite the manufacturer’s label on the glass dated approximately 6 weeks prior to the install, a further glass unit was broken during install & the sliding window installed was manufactured so short that it actually falls out of the frame surrounds when opened - I have to get this totally remade & replaced, as it could easily fall on someone. Also note that PVC Windows Australia wanted 100% contract payment prior to completion of the project. It doesn’t matter how cheap your quote is - never ever deal with a company, whatever the product or service, that want 100% payment prior to completion. Walk away!)

Very reliable and honest workmenship! Sav was very professional, he came for a measure and quote and there were no extra costs once the job started. The job was completed on time and we were extremely happy with all dealings with this company.

Great, love them. They look great, they work great. I cant stop playing with them. I'm very impressed. Sav was great to work with. I was really worried about flashing and water drainage etc as my old windows were old and rotted and Sav was patient, reassuring me along the way. Really pleased. This is an investment. Before and after photos available, trim (and house) still needs painting etc

After months of disappointing research and tens of quotes from other window suppliers, I finally came across Deluxe Windows. Sav, the owner, came around and was the first person who actually spent time walking me through relevant details as opposed to aggressively trying to sell me his product. He gave me a great deal on price and, most importantly, did a terrific job with the windows (16 of them!). We couldn’t be happier with the results!

We had Sev and his crew come out too our heritage home in Preston too install some double glazed windows and I must say I am truely blown away by the experience. Within two days we had brand new windows supplied and installed with ease I would recommend Sev and his company highly and will keep them in mind for future projects
