Degani Bentons Square reviews
23I don't like this place, the staff are abrupt, food I've had has been disappointing and there is sometimes a bird flying around inside! Can't recommend
Wouldn’t go here again, had a toasted schnitzel Turkish roll and salad and the salad was about 3 leaves, they should’ve bothered. We then had an almond crossiant and vanilla slice that we ended up having to go and het ourselves, not a great experience, when we looked up it looked like the ceiling fans had never been cleaned. The place needs a revamp and some urgency in the service.
Not normally a fan of deganis but the Mornington degani is definitely the exception to the rule
We really enjoyed our coffee and food was so yummy. Kids love their pancakes and milkshakes.highly recommended to families with kids.
Last Tuesday 27th december, I called in with my wife for our usual coffees, I gave the girl my loyaty card, as it was full, and i was due for a freebee, she handed me back the card and said no! I cant do that today.so I said ok ill have 2 small cuppachinos please, and handed her a $50.00 note, i received $35.00 change.now my loyalty card has been refused, and i am charged $15.00 for 2 small coffees, why after many years am i being treated this way. Always fantastic food and service, fantastic little cafe which i highly recommend if you need a coffee and or something to eat
Always great service and their coffee/hot chocolate is great. Love that you can get a Senior's discount. Will always return.
Used to be great but slow service is telling, especially when all you want is takeaway coffee. 20mins on a Sunday at 8am is a joke
Employs kids who really want an after School and Weekend job when his (Harap) staff take leave.and can't even give kids a call to tell them the truth that they are no longer employed and that it was temporary. Diasapointed kid and an obviously not experienced Manager.
Thought I would try something new. Waited 10 minutes for a coffee in off peak time whilst I watched the staff walk around talking to each other, touching dirty dishes then make my coffee. Never again
We went there to get lunch. I ordered a ham, cheese and Tomato toastie. When it arrived we only got a ham and cheese one. There was half a slice of cheese within the whole toastie, so in general was very dry. (I know mistakes happen).
When waiting we observed the staff come and clear the dishes from the other tables around us, where other people had been sitting. No wiping down of tables between customers. In this time during a pandemic, a lot more care needs to be taken. (I know we are in a great place and no community transmission, but we cannot become complacent).
This was our first time there and will definitely be our last.
I have been to other deganis and have had great service and observed cleanliness and them all doing the correct thing. Not here.
Sorry.
Waited 15 minutes for simple toasted quesadilla, plenty of staff and store had only me and another customer. Slow meandering service. Food was microwaved and then put onto serviette that stuck to it so I had to scrape it off.
•Stale Food
•No care given to allergies
•Horrible service
•Horrible business management
Would give less if possible. Its dissapointing to
see some of the old staff be fired in these had times especially after they ones left have only just started. Appart from the terible business managment, The service now is appuling. The older lady that served me had Extreemly bad customer relations to be serving as well as having poor barista skills as our coffee"s we orders were burnt and stone cold as well as a half hour wait with no one else in the store. Our soy long black was also given as full fat and after brining it up with the barista she said "oh well it won't hurt" and walked off into the kitchen (I'm extremely allergic to dairy) The sandwich we orderd was extreemly stale and the mayo filling tasted very sour (like rotten milk) our cakes were no better. Both Cakes we orders were as hard as a rock and again very stale the vanilla slice also tasted very sour. Sad to see this business go downhill so much and I also think that the food they are serving should be better moniterd as serving stale cakes is not acceptable. Also bring back staff that can speak to customer and not walk off when brought up with the quality of food that is being served. I WILL NEVER GO BACK.
Always a great atmosphere, chilled and relaxing. The food on display tastes even better than it looks, - always fresh. Thanks to the staff for always being so friendly and welcoming
Lovely staff, great coffee and yummy food. We will definitely return next time we are in the area.
Great atmosphere. Staff very happy around the customers and great customer service.
When an owner can keep the staff happy. That's 70% of the battle in a business. Seems like these guys are really on top of looking after their staff. As it was reflected by the team.
Went there today for lunch (5 of us) and had to wait for well over half an hour for 3 meals and the other 2 arrived after a 40 minute wait. One was a burger and one side of the bun was totally burnt and our grandson could not eat it. We complained about the long wait and also about the burnt burger bun and the reply from the waiter was 'that's no good' and jokingly said ' will have to have a chat to the chef '. They couldn't care less.
We live near this cafe. There is ample seating and friendly staff. We go there with our kids. You order at the counter and your order will be brought to your table. They serve alcoholic beverages as well. I love their eggs Benedict, i wish they sold their hollandaise sauce. It's fantastic. I would recommend this cafe.
Coffee and cakes are very tasty and you can eat breakfast and lunch there too. It's a bit too noisy to have a conversation though.
Give this place less stars if I could. Totally rude lady taking our order, then we, that is my 5yr old and I are made to wait 21mins for it to arrive, only for it to come out as a ham and cheese croissant. Total joke. No apology offered. So shove your cafe where the sun don't shine. Never again will we dine here
