Bought a panini and wrap for my partner and I as we were shopping. We had ordered take away but thought it better to sit and eat as to enjoy our food while it was hot. Unfortunately we were ejected by an older staff member as we had brought our own coffee, ignoring the fact that we had just paid $26 for food. Very poor service

Went to buy an iced latte today from here and the lady making coffee insisted it was $7.5 for an iced latte when the menu says $4.4 for a medium iced latte and she said that the prices have changed! The $7.5 price is for an iced coffee with ice cream not an iced latte

Arrogant male manager and rude. Mostly women working hard controlled by this one arrogant guy.

Horrible. Literally charged us extra like what the? Looking for a relaxing, friendly environment? Turn around, walk to maccas McCafé. Gwen and her horse are galloping away. Yee Haw.

My daughter was taking my elderly mother out for lunch and chose Degani Northland, (1st March, approximately 12.50pm). When they arrived, my daughter chose a more appropriate chair that had a back on it for my mother to sit on. A very rude and inconsiderate lady with no empathy with short light brown hair (maybe with an accent) said to my daughter that she could not use that chair. My daughter explained it was for her elderly nan that needed support for her back. This lady still would not let her use the chair. My daughter was taken back with the rude attitude and left your cafe immediately.

Hands down the best coffee and service.the staff are lovely and the owners are even more welcoming.we sat down with my family and had the best experience.

Went to degani northland, covid levels rising, one staff member had a mask on and they didnt care when i said something, yet wanted to see my vaccine status ridiculous

The worst customer service! Not sure if someone had started their day on a bad foot but the staff attitude was VERY bad. The attitude seems to be coming down from the owners. No smiles just grumpy faces. Management should think about undertaking some serious customer service skills training and teach their staff how to be polite and treat your staff with respect. I would not be going back there ever again!

I was going to get on here to complain and share my awful experience. But I can see many other people have already done this! The man who manages this cafe needs a complete re training in customer service, conflict resolution and just general common decency.

My 13 year old child was limping due to an injury and sat down whilst I went to order. The manager approached directed them off of his premises.

After ordering, I asked the manager what the problem was.

He became immediatey surly, arrogant, rude and defensive. He lectured me on about not leaving children unattended (A 13 year old teenager and injured!) and threatened to call security.

I explained that I was not at all angry, I just wondered if a serious problem had occurred. He said 'Let it go" and "Lifes is too short for this". (?)

I left clearly upset and sat down. Then he returned and slammed my cash down on the table and said loudly that he did want people like me (?) in his cafe.

Degani, really need sort out this and screen bullies out of their company. It should be part of your brand even if a private franchise.

I really only feel sorry for the young girls that work there as they have probably been waiting for lockdowns to end to be employed. Yet they are subjected to his behaviour.

But, as he wanted, I WILL NEVER SPEND MY MONEY THERE AGAIN!

Best cafe in melbourne i have ever been to!
the workers and atmosphere is amazing, they are all so kind and lovely!
And the food was top notch, not to mention the coffee being beautiful!

The service is quick and the staff is friendly l. The coffee was average, they also have plenty tea snacks to choose from which is a plus.

Nice place to have some light meals. The coffee was ok. Had the bacon and egg focaccia, was nice.

As far a coffee goes, Melbourne is known to be the center of the universe. Hell - the center of the Multiverse for the best coffee.

This is why I find it hard to enjoy a good cuppa-joe. But the Northland Deganis manages to deliver everytime. I would have taken photos of the cakes, but there were none left. But we had a good time there.

Best Lamington ever according to the wife and I tend to agree. The tea is pretty good too. Apple crumble was good too.

Thank you for the most amazing coffee and friendly service. I never leave Northland without stopping off at Degani for a well brewed coffee.

Lovely husband and wife team make a great coffee. I like the selection of vegetarian meals on offer, and the ones I have tried are tasty.
