I had a med cappuccino. It was absolutely terrible. It was burnt! It tasted bitter! Not enjoyable, I left half of it there. I asked for 2 sugars and got told to put my own sugar in at the table.
I also ordered a ham, cheese and tomato toasted sandwich, which I asked for salt and pepper. She told me to put it on myself at the table.
It came out burnt on 1 side, it has no butter on it, the cheese was burnt to the bread. The 2 tomato pieces in side were the ends of the tomato so not much flesh and the 1 pieces of ham in it and I paid around $10 for it. What a joke! All round the coffee and food was terrible.will definitely not be returning.

My wife and I have ordered the big veggie breakfast twice and the food was excellent at both times. We called in advance and ordered our food and the lovely gentleman over the phone was very accommodating. The staff are also very lovely and welcoming. I would highly recommend my family and friends to try Degani cafe for breakfast and brunch.

I moved far away about a year ago and I definitely missed the delicious food and the family atmosphere! They always fantastic! My kids took home all the type of focaccia (aioli chicken, pesto chicken and vegetarian one!) because they ask me to make some as much as similar to them I can! Ahh! Ahh! Not so easy how it looks like!

Well presented food. Coffee very good. Good experience made better by the team who smiled and were happy to be in a industry rather is all about service. A 5 star experience

Paid high price for 7 items, open the box and lemon meringues not in the box! Who doesn’t know what a lemon meringue is?

Some of the best coffee I've had which is saying a lot considering how flooded Melbourne in general is with cafes and coffee shops. Nice variety of food.

They were efficient and friendly, and they stuck to their estimate! After seeing all the time and effort they put in, I fully expected to be charged up to double, but they asked for the original amount even after I offered more (so I increased my tip). I will email Diamond Steam Cleaning again the next time I need cleaning

We had a breakfast with my family at Degani. They made our day with their delicious breakfast. Degani is the one of the best place in this area that I’ve been recently. I’ll come back again and I’ll recommend it to all my friends. Thanks for your high quality service.

This rating is purely for the service. The lady that served me did not say a word. No "hi what can I get you". Absolutely nothing.being polite does not cost anything, acknowledging your customers is the least you can do.

Should work on their understanding of government covid seating regulations. You allow 7 people to sit at 2 booths next to each other, 3 people in another booth, but we're now allowed to join 2 tables together to seat 4 people together? What is the difference? Government regulations let you have 4 to a both, but you can join 2 2 seater tables together.

Crawling spider found under strawberries
in pancake dish for my 3 yr old. Told by owner that "stuff like this happens, it's no big deal"

My daughter and I wanted to start off Christmas by celebrating with a treat breakfast. My daughter's pancakes came out with beautiful presentation. I was cutting up my daughters food when she spotted a live spider crawling out (1cm by 2cms) from her strawberries. We both jumped up, our cutlery went all over the floor. The table next to us also jumped at my daughter's yelling about the spider. The plate had curled up round edges and there was no spider webs in the indoor seating area or under the table.

I gave the staff the plate and showed them the crawling spider. After coming to our table and apologizing, she then told us to go check her kitchen for spiders. I was shocked and responded I was scared of spiders and I was worried for my daughter's sake. I went on explaining that my daughter and I were celebrating the beginning of Christmas and we got dolled up for a nice breakfast. She responded by repeatedly telling me to ' go check the kitchen for cleanliness' and that "stuff like this happens, it's no big deal".

Once I informed the Male owner of the spider he took initiative. I explained that my 3 yr old wants to leave because she is scared there will be another spider in her new pancakes. He quickly reimbursed us for the pancakes and a cookie was offered.

After a long drive home of trying to convince my daughter that spiders won't be in her food anymore she still refused the chocolate chip Smarties cookie from the Degani because " there's gonna be a spider in it".

Our favourite local to go to lunch during the week when working from home. The tea and coffee are great. The food is delicious. We have eaten a variety of the menu including the risotto, foccaca, pasta and breakfast menu. Always tastes great. The staff are lovely and always happy to help. Hard to provide an atmosphere in a shopping centre but it is segregated and kept clear of people walking past with the booths that they provide.

The owner, his family members and other staff are helpful, quick service and really friendly. When other food outlets closed last year, Degani and Maccas stayed open. No way am i getting a coffee from Maccas when you have a good cafe open

Love the cakes!
However concerned to see no one washing their hands at the small sink near coffee machine. I dont see any soap dispenser?
Management and staff should be washing hands regularly especially during covid times.

VEGGIE BURGER. Delicious! The best take away vegetarian burger I have had before, the pattie had so much flavour and a great crunchy coating. Yummy fries and a hot cup-a tea. Thanks to the friendly staff at Degani Waverley Gardens. Always have a smile on their faces, see you again soon.

I love this place! Usually spend my break time in that cafe, the service and staff are extremely kind and friendly. Waiting is not that long and the coffee there is an absolute master piece. The food is also very delicious and tasty thanks to the chief:) highly recommend.
