Deccan Indian Kitchen reviews
58First time I've ordered chicken biryani from here and ended up with spicy rice and a whole chicken leg. Would have been nice for their description to state they don't do diced chicken like all the other Indian restaurants. Absolute waste of $20. If I wanted a roast chicken I'd go to Coles. Will not be ordering from here again.
Had a party at my place. Ordered chicken samosa, chilli chicken and chicken 65 biryani as suggested by the owner. Amazing quality food with authentic taste. The quantity was good too. Made my evening!
I was a regular customer of this place.
Loved their food from past 2 years.
But the quality is worst now.
Got a really bad experience from management.
And when i called for a complaint now
And they were so rude about saying all deakin students from INDIA do stuff like this for free food.
Such a shame for people who are running an Indian name restaurant and defaming Indian people.
I will surely miss my favourite spot for cholle bathure but won't ever visit people who have such mentality.
Excellent service! Excellent food!
The chilli chicken was amazinggg, and the curries we tried after that were delicious as well. 10/10 staff! All provided prompt service and ready to help everytime they walked past. Definitely recommend, kids loved it too:)
Nice dine in atmosphere, polite staff. Best garlic naan we have had. Great variety of vegetarian and non vegetarian options. Large serving size left feeling very full - we should have shared one rice between both of us! Good value for money.
One of the best Indian food we have had in last few years.
Tried it on our way back to Melbourne from a day trip.
Every thing tasted fresh and great. All different curries tasted unique and so delicious unlikely other Indian restaurents with same base gravy. I will highly recommend and be back again.
I still remember that day. So glad that I saw your reply. It was Christmas 2020. We were 4 people dining together. The guy taking the order wasn't great initially. And, then when it was literally 45 minutes since we ordered, I was frustrated. After which, a lady from kitchen came and consoled. Our food was ready in 2 minutes! And it doesn't end here, the lemon lime bitters that we were served was EXPIRED, which my friend drank and fell ill. After this, when confronted the guy serving us had the audacity to say "WE DIDN'T HAVE TIME, AS YOU CAN SEE, WE'RE BUSY. " Anybody would lose it here. Honestly the worst experience we've had.
The food is amazing and ambience was simply beautiful. The good part is the halal option in Geelong made students life little easier here also giving students discount.
Ordered Paneer 65 biryani for take away. Got spiced rice with literally 4 pieces of paneer. Not worth $19.90.
Over $30 for a “Large” Rogan Josh that is pretty much a standard size, then $12.50 for a “large” dry coconut rice.
Completely overpriced, food was ok but i was shocked at how small it was given the price.
The food is amazing and always tastes great. No inconsistency with flavours.
However, their service is lacking greatly. I order online via their website and waited the 30 minute wait time. Upon arriving, they didn't have the order and clearly lost it. I had to wait another 45 minutes for them to get my order. They didn't apologise or explain what happened, they just made me wait. All the while, they kept serving walk-ins and making their food first. Another time they made us wait 20 minutes only to realise it was sitting on the counter the whole time. Unfortunately, the front of house staff don't have the best organisation skills.
I didn't express my feelings to them but I was not happy. Would order from them again, but call beforehand to confirm its already made.
Food is ok but price has doubled in the last 2 weeks. Thought there was a mistake in the bill but they said prices went up. Got home, compared menu - they have doubled the price of almost everything. Too obvious a rip off. No more.
Delicious meal. Butter chicken yum. Lamb balti good. Goat curry my favourite still. Pakora a bit doughy
Still yum thanks guys will come again
Worst food ever. Made us sick, we didn’t even eat full food as it was so spicy for us. We ordered to make the cheese chilly, veg noodles and veg Manchurian in medium not spicy. There were no veggies in noodles. I would not recommend again in the future.
I ordered chicken Korma last night and was told by the lady I spoke to that a large serving has gone up from 25 to 31 dollars as a price increase, it was delicious but a very expensive meal.
Overpriced, dry chicken and looked
And tasted like a frozen meal.
Front of staff lady was lovely but that’s where it ends.
The best Briyani in Geelong I'll say. I have tried others but nothing can be near this. Good portion and right price. My favourite Briyani place
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal! And we were very impressed with the service, especially Nadine! She was so lovely! Thank you. Lucy
I had a takeaway and got chicken tikka masala and butter naan’s. By far the worst restaurant you can eat. The naan’s were really hard to chew and felt like they just reheated some old naan’s. Chicken tikka was tasting odd. Chicken was hard and was giving out some really weird taste. This was the first time i visited them and it’s probably the last. I’m not good at cooking at all but can definitely accept your offer for being your head chef. Probably I can cook better. Such a wastage of money.
I ordered chicken 65 biryani, it tasted more likely chicken schezwan rice really didn't like the taste.
