Psychology was a mess, as another user outlined. Often the slides in classes/lectures don't match the ones saved online. They put the icing on the cake recently with their security breath. Now a nefarious group has all my private information (mobile number, DOB, address, email addresses and possibly photo ID/drivers license and Deakin password etc). This goes for every student and faculty member. Not only is my identity potentially at risk, but I'm receiving phishing TXT's/emails, which risks my savings.

Deakin Law School - I was invited to speak at a combined event of Deakin Law School and Eastern Solicitors Law Association (ESLA) at Building LC at Deakin University Burwood Campus. I am having the worst experience studying Psychology at Deakin University. As one example (but there are many), some online lectures have audio issues to the point of being uninterpretable and, despite receiving feedback about it for nearly 6 months, still haven't fixed the issue. We are paying for this so it's not okay for the staff to treat us like this. As another example (but again there are many others), the feedback in an essay I just received said "you should have included xyz" when I literally, objectively did include "xyz". I emailed the relevant unit team to say "Hi, the marker said I didn't include xyz when I did", then the unit team literally agreed with me, but didn't correct my marks - they just cut the email conversation short. This is so harsh and makes me feel really upset because we need a high grade to get into Postgrad Psych (essential if you want to become a Psych), otherwise it's physically not possible to become a Psych. They know this and still don't care. As another example, in some units the mid semester quiz questions are so ambiguous and written in such poor grammar that many of us lose marks based on not understanding what the question is getting at, even though we have fully studied the content. I emailed the Dean of Psych about some of these issues but she did not offer any kind of solution.

Don't ever bother yourself to even apply for any course at this so called university, what they picture is a different experience of what you will have if get involved. Really poor admission team, no respect to the applicants even in their emails, no proper responses from them and long waiting to get an answer. Most of the information on their website is false and only to advertise themselves.
I am super lucky I did not get into that place.

A great building with amazing views and top facilities. I highly recommend checking out the terrace on the 5th floor.

A disgrace of a "University". A money grabbing institute with incompetent arceic teachers who need to get real world industry experience outside of their dark cave. If you want a future, do not study at Deakin.
