Deakin Edge, Fed Square reviews
19Amazing location. Previously called Deakin Edge, now just Edge. It's perfect for conferences, large open space, funky design, and amazing acoustics!
The MSO program featured works by young composers. This is such a great initiative to support the future of music that speaks to Australian audiences. I was delighted by the creativity and professionalism of the composers. The players also seemed to enjoy themselves.
What a COOL venue!
I certainly never knew this was at Fed Square but there I was, for an awards night, absolutely blown away by this incredible, tucked away space!
Super beautiful and really nicely designed
Perfect for an awards night, live performance space or other event venue ️
The team was wonderful encouraging to all children's activities and experiences.
Will do it again.
Good view of the stage from every seat, just enough space to mingle when not seated - excellent venue for events like celebration of top IB Diploma graduates.
Good venue location, very accessible and decent acoustics. Parking left alot to be desired but other than that, it's good in a pinch.
Nice venue tucked away at federation square. I attended a trade exhibition there. Parking was very handy at Russell Street Extention. The Theatrette is central. Great airy vibe.
This was the most inspiring experience of all, DANZA EL VITO RITUAL FIRE DANCE CARMEN FLAMENCO, a concert of Flamneco music and dance. Wonderful accustics to add to the aural sensation, what a day. It was the best
We watched a concert by Legends of Brass at Deakin Edge, as part of the Seniors Festival. Lovely venue for concerts surrounded by views of treetops through the huge glass walls. Lunch and coffee in the cafe in the Atrium finished off a lovely morning outing for us.
Magnificent venue, designed using glass and steel. Venue offers superb experience both musically and architecturaly.
Catering and coffee set up was poor. Poorly planned and coffee wasn't ready for the early 'arrival and coffee'
As a place for public talks, etc it is excellent and the windows make it very open & interesting
Awesome market recently. Quite packed with lots of people and stalls. Some parts on the ground were a little unstable and knocked things off stall tables but other that that a really great market.
I heard it was pricey for each business to have a stall. Seemed quite successful and would have been good to hear that these small business were given a chance to make more of a profit.
More events like this are great.
Wow it's wonderful. That was at night time. Acoustically great place for a concert or theatre performances.
An interesting space. Kind of difficult to find your way into the auditorium, but it looks like the interior can be rearranged for various events.
I love the look of the space. It’s refreshing to have views behind a stage plus plenty of natural light.
Nice modern architecture without seeming pretentious. I really loved the lighting and how it blended well with the light brown wooden floor and scaffolding style metal arches above the stage. Temperature wasn't sacrificed for the style of the building which I appreciated (uneven cold or hot air is far too common in concert halls). The whole decor and seating design with the stage gives off a vibe that is quite intimate whilst still remaining formal.
Probably the single most fractal, deconstructed architectural statement in Federation Square. I true contemporary architectural masterpiece.
