RUDE, UNRELIABLE, LIARS AND THEIVES

Took my kitchen splash back size to De Lucia a few months ago and ordered the number of boxes that they (Rita) advised. The tiler recommended by De lucia said that there was one box too many and I rang them the following day to amend my order. I was advised this was not possible given that the order had already been placed. After I picked up the order I left the extra box which was brand new and unopened with De Lucia and Rita said she would sell it for me. I went to their store several times to enquire about the box and was advised it had not yet been sold.

On 28 April 2017 I went to their store again and after being advised again that my box of tiles had not been sold I asked if I could have it back. Rita went to the end of the store and spoke to a gentleman there. I could hear the sound of taping and wrapping from the back of the store. After a few minutes the gentleman brought out an old, torn and taped box of tiles and said here is your box and there is one tile missing (please note the size of the tiles is 90x30 cms). When I advised them this was not my box as my box was brand new, unopened and belted Rita became extremely rude and angrily and scornfully shouted “This is your F…ing box”.

I responded by saying why are you being so rude. All I did was ask for my brand new box of tiles. She turned around to the gentleman and said “take this box back to the storage area”, sneered at me and said “You don’t have a receipt for the box you left with us, go and do what the hell you like”. When I said I would complain to Consumer Affairs she said “ha ha ha do what the hell you like.

This behavior and attitude is totally unacceptable and I recommend that people do not trust this company especially Rita because there is a devil behind her fake smile. There are many many tile shops in Melbourne, I recommend you choose one that has courtesy and respect for its customers unlike De Lucia!

De Lucia are a one our regular go to's for tile selections for our projects which are all bespoke architecturally designed homes. Rita and the team are incredibly helpful making our job easier, pricing is competitive, we have had no onsite quality issues and ultimately the tile selection is good- we always find what we are looking for. Would not hesitate to recommend.

It has been almost a year since my new bathroom was built and everyone who has seen it has been impressed by the tiles
As Rita said, the patterned floor tiles are forgiving (a bit too forgiving when I drop an earring)

As a tiler ive been using products from here for at least 10years now they are freindly people and will help you on all your tiling needs and requirements

Bought 50 sq.m of tiling for the alfresco, front porch and steps. Wish I knew these guys before buying my internal tiles

I am an interior designer who regularly needs tiles supplied for various projects around town. I have worked with Frank and Rita for many years now and their excellent service is a stand out. They are knowledgeable and generous with their time and their prices are directly comparable to some of the cheaper discount tiles stores. I have no hesitation in recommending my clients visit this store.

I think the way you can truly tell what a company is like is when things don't go as planned. Now that we are at the tail end of our kitchen reno, I suddenly realized the floor tiles delivered to us were not the same color as the one I wanted. I quickly took a picture of the sample tile I got from the showroom next to the tile that was delivered and emailed it to them. Thank goodness I had sample tiles! I promptly received a call from Rita to tell me it was their mistake when writing the order and will send the correct tiles immediately. I was blown away. At first I thought our day would be wasted with our tiler at our house already with no floor tiles to work on. Correct tiles were delivered not too long later. I'm so happy and impressed.

We were recommended to this store by 3 different people, a friend a builder and bathroom company. We had shopped around a fair bit and couldn't find what we were looking for. We found they had a huge range really good quality tiles and everything was easy and smooth. Nothing was a problem. Tiles were delivered promptly and we are very happy with end result.
