Days Picnic Ground reviews
21 So sad to see days picnic ground overrun with grass and not mown for Christmas picnics over this weekend.
Where is Parks Victoria.
Days Picnic Area is used mainly as a car park for walks down to the Sanatorium Lake or up to the Camels Hump. Nevertheless, it has useful open fire facilities together with tables and benches. Most of them are unprotected in the open, so bring your own umbrella on a hot day.
Plenty of space for lots of groups to have a good time. Magnificent trees all around. Tables with benches scattered throughout. Crisp mountain air when it is hot in Melbourne. A hidden gem.
Nice place to visit not far from the city plenty open areas and beautiful views best place for barbecue relaxing for the family need full day to explore it.
It's very pure and it feels very fresh. I would definitely recommend this place it's so big too
Mt Macedon days picnic ground is a wonderful, clean, spacious place to have a bbq, a picnic, a walk in the forest. Beautiful, we always stay there the whole day. There should be more similar places around melbourne, unfortunately there are just few.
Amazing place to relax and enjoy life away from the norm. Just a short trip past some nice autumn scenery and you'll soon find yourself, what feels to be, a long way from reception.but no.has good reception, toilets, BBQ spots, fire pits and more.all as clean as a whistle and well maintained.
Great spot to sit and eat, plenty of Woodend tables and fire pits. If they're all taken then heaps of open grass areas to set up on.
Beautifull place with huge trees, big ground, pleasant weather and bbQ spot. The fog n tree leaves breezing was a lit.and worth visit.
Beautiful big picnic area with fire pits scattered around. Plenty of space. Lots of kookaburras who love hanging around watching you prepare and eat your lunch. Can take a short walk through the forest to the Sanatorium lake or just chill in the picnic area.
Great place to enjoy walks or meals with family and friends. You might encounter some cute short-legged marsupials in the forested lands, if not find proofs of their passing on the territories!
Beautiful location to hike, explore and have a picnic. Nice facilities with fire pits and plenty of parking and room to move around.
Beautiful spot.quiet and peaceful with lots of room for kids to run, fireplaces and table and chairs.
Great picnic spot. Plenty to to enjoy casual sports. Walking trails are easy to get to. Toilets could do with a scrub.
An awesome hidden gem on an hours drive from melbourne. Plenty of parking and wood bbq spots available. Heaps of grasslands for kids to play around, many small walks available as well.
Huge space. Great for family picnics and go on for walks. Many picnic tables, tall trees, short walks connecting to bigger walks.walk to Camel's Hump or explore Sanatorium Lake Nature Walk. If need a longer walk the tracks lead to Memorial cross too.
Quite a few coal BBQ pits which is great to see. Large grassland for kids to play various sports.giving four stars as this park should have a quality children playground. Toilets are available.
Misty feel and fresh air everywhere. Highly recommended.
The bush is beautiful and thee picnic area large and nestled in the trees. Nice walks close by.
Very nice spot for a bonfire picnic and a walk after it. Lots of wildlife to find. Unfortunately getting popular these days so get there early to secure a spot.
Love this place, I'm a photographer and it is a favourite location. So many great short walks and such interesting light!
