I had a great experience at David Aurora Audio.
Brought a Fender amp in that other 2 places couldn’t fix.after almost 2 months of running around I found David who is skilled, professional and very nice to deal with!
He not only fixed the issue but also fix some other factory defects that could give problems in the future!
He just exceeded my expectations!
Even though my repair cost him more time than what he quoted he fairly sticked with the original quote.

David is the best audio technician in Melbourne. His product and service charges are well below others doing similar work. His service is always outstanding and trustworthy. If you have expensive audio equipment, guitar amplifiers or the like, like a good mechanic, David is invaluable.

Dave is the best tech I've come across in Melbourne. After using others and speaking to many other muso's about their experiences elsewhere I can't recommend Dave enough. I've taken several amps to him - Fender, Marshall, Orange and even a Silvertone - some of my recording equipment - Urie 1176, Distressor, Tascam 8 track - and he has always repaired without fuss and gone the extra mile to find parts. Not only that he's such a nice guy and always willing to help out and give great advice. Honestly don't bother going to anyone else, Dave is the best!

I tasked, "David Aurora Audio" with several fairly routine repair tasks, (by a competent technician's standards.) An estimate of fees and services was provided prior to the commencement of work and I supplied the items at an agreed time and location. The items were repaired:

1. According to our agreement;
2. Within a reasonable time period;
3. At a competitive price.

I am satisfied with the work carried out by, "David Aurora Audio" and would recommend the company’s services for both elementary and involved technical tasks.

After searching online for someone to repair my vintage Marantz pre-amp, I thankfully came across David Aurora Audio.
Of all the people I had got in contact with, David was swift and prompt with a response to my enquiry, and did not give me the run around other repair shops had. I had crazy responses from other electronic repair stores that it was going to take 3-6 months to even have a look at my preamp, and costing in the $600 mark to fix.
David took the time to look over my preamp and try work out the issue before even giving me a quote which I appreciated very much.
The workmanship and attention to detail that David possesses is extraordinary and is something that is very hard to find in the industry and in Melbourne in general.
David found the Issue with my preamp and went over and beyond to do a recap and fix any other issues it was having. He even put the cherry on top and did a test and tag of the equipment.
I listened to the preamp when it got home for a few hours, and it sounds even better than before.
If this is David’s level of service, I doubt anyone around Melbourne can top it. A very reliable and honest guy. I received my preamp back within 3 nights. I am gobsmacked!

My band has recorded with David Aurora on several memorable occasions. For a very affordable price we were lucky enough to work with a true professional in a relaxed and fun environment. With Dave's guidance and expertise we were able to take the noise we were making in the jam shed and put in on a record with the desired outcome. If you're looking to record with someone that has integrity and actually cares about music then Dave is the person to contact. He also offers repairs and builds his own guitar pedals which is pretty rad (goddamn boost!). Satisfaction, beard and coffee guaranteed. Cheers Dave!

I have recorded with Dave on several occasions and can attest to his electronics obsessions and talents a-plenty. He has also fixed my educational institutions dodgy gear various times, bringing them back to life when I thought there was no hope left. The work Dave does comes highly recommended.

No matter what equipment I take to Dave, he knows how to fix it, or at least what might be wrong. He's saved my butt when microphones have failed mid- voice-over job, he explains work well, and he's really friendly. Location is handy too!
