5 Service! I was guided here by my Seamstress, as I have little/no knowledge of sewing. The Lady who assisted me was Very Helpful! She showed me how much fabric was needed & my option of colours. Also Super Friendly! Prices were Great also. Thanks for Your Top service! Very Highly Recommended!

WE have purchased from Darn Cheap Fabrics for years and love the selection of fabrics (more interesting than Spotlight!) and they have buttons laces zips needles cotton.basically everything and more to make whatever you like to wear. The staff are so helpful with ordering things for us aswell from their other shop. Below are just a few pics to share

I have only ordered online from this company but they have incredible customer service! I'm my most recent order one fabric was out of stock so Kim texted me photos of other similar fabrics so I could choose a substitute. All fabrics I have received have been high quality and true to the images online. Cannot recommend them enough!

I contacted this store before I was to drive down there after work, as I wanted to make sure they had the fabric I found on their website, in store. After finally getting through on the phone, a very rude lady answered and when I asked whether they could check if they had the fabric in store before I drove 40 minutes there after work, I got the reply “well no I can’t because there are two customers walking around the store”. Now I completely understand if they were busy, but why answer the phone in the first place if they are unwilling to assist and secondly, she could have offered to check for me when she no longer had “2 customers walking around the store” and then give me a call back. Once I did make it in store, however, a friendly lady assisted me with locating the fabric and was genuinely interested in what I was making. The other two staff in store though, one older (I presume the one on the phone) and one younger, were unwelcoming and just stared at me with angry looks on their faces. Interesting experience here, that’s for sure!

I really appreciated the detail on the website, like the fibre content and multiple photos. Super fast shipping, despite the fact that I ordered on boxing day! I love that it came wrapped up tenderly in an old pattern sheet too. So thoughtful!

Very strange experience. The blonde middle aged woman working there does not smile, at all, she does not say a hello, does not utter “can i help you with anything? ” just looks at you with a perma-frown and treats every customer like a potential criminal. It’s been a while since I encountered somebody so nasty i felt compelled to write about it. Having her there, and a yellow sign saying “smile you are on camera” pinned up hundreds of times literally on any any free wall and every shelf in the place not make for a welcoming experience, the whole set up is designed to intimidate. Okay, so they probably had shoflifters in the past, that doesn’t mean you need to treat every single customer as a potential criminal the second they walk in the door? Front of shop is too cramped and doesn’t allow an adequate walkway past the checkout part without bumping into a rack or a person at checkout. Shame about the Ms sourpuss who is more suited to sorting out mail in a backroom, than dealing with the general public, this is not the way to entice customers back. I do regular sewing and need regular supplies, but your intimidating, clustered environment, and, frosty unsmiling staff member has meant I will not set foot back there again.
