Dandenong Ranges Botanic Garden reviews
50More beautiful the ever, such long time was there, to much fun, you see, walk, to eat and discover new place to enyoye life again friends around.
Beautiful garden with many types of plants and flowers. It’s very refreshing to walk around this garden in spring.
A fair amount of parking even on a sunny autumn Sunday. Very peaceful and cool. Easy access but hilly. The lake was serene and the tall eucalypts awe-inspiring.
Busy on the weekend.go on the week day and hike up to the end.tip.don't go to the Cafe when it's busy.anyway cheap day out any good exercise
Beautiful parkland. BBQ on site. Gas. Toilets also. Nice place to picnic. Great view from here.
What a gorgeous place! We took a small group of people from Indonesia here and they were amazed! We just missed the blooming period by a week or two but it was still a great experience. I could spend all day here! Such a picturesque location with knowledgeable staff and a cute gift shop! Will definitely come back here when it’s in bloom.
Pleasant walk, very hilly so take care. Weather can change in an instant. This time of year not much in bloom though I almost had the garden to myself.
Beautiful. Saw the snow there today. The kind of place that would change seasonally. An absolute delight.
Simply stunning in all 4 seasons. We have been before in spring, and we’re not expecting winter to be as good. But went in July and found it to be atmospheric with mist and a light drizzle against a whole host of deciduous leafless trees, lovely creeks, tree ferns and manicured lawns, with the odd flower just starting to bloom
What a fantastic garden. We went when the Rhododendrons weren’t even in flower. It was still a spectacular space. The Rangers do a fabulous job of maintaining the gardens in a pristine manner. The day we were there it was freezing cold. But we still manage to have a fantastic day.
Such a peaceful place. Lots of birds and butterflies. Entire garden is surrounded with trees of all sorts and beautiful flowers. Great for walking around. Carry picnic rug and good book.
First time visit. Visited with 2 kids (1.5 and 3.5 years old) and their grandparents. The place is very big. I was not expecting such huge space. But it is great. It feels more like a very well maintained forest rather than garden. It has got nice paths that are pram friendly as well as off road trails thay you can walk. We spent nearly 3 hours in yne gardens. Even in winter the place is very pretty. O can only imagine the scenery in spring when everything starts blooming. We'll be back for that.
Why did i miss this hidden gem in Dandenong even if i visit the ranges often? Not as small as you think.you might need to well prepare to go hill up and down if you are not so good at it.worth visiting.
Nice and quiet place to visit to enjoy the beautiful nature, haven’t seen so many different beautiful multi colour flowers with information.not only you can enjoy nature but you can read as well about different species and gather information.come here if you wanna completely different nature as we are used to I mean traffic world.highly recommended
This is an incredible place to go in a powered wheelchair despite the inclines I made it round safely in my chair. The last on the gate was so helpful - I was able to buy a plant at the shop because there were some on an outdoor display - for free this is an incredible day out - will be going back and spending longer - not sure if garden shop and cafe are accessible willyakw more time next time and find out-brilliant day!
Beautiful park tucked away in the Dandenongs, lots of rhododendrons and azaleas, I'll have to come back in Spring when the flowers are at their best! Great facilities, toilets, a gift shop and a cafe are there, and just minutes from Olinda
This place is always a delight to visit. There is always something to discover, and the gift shop has a good range of interesting gifts.
Beautiful! Breathtaking and serene.
Enjoy a day out in Mount Dandenong and take a stroll in some of the most wonder places.
Very pretty even in less than perfect weather. Free to enter and good fun for little kids to run about.
Lovely place and it's free! Huge park and you can have picnic here. Beware that there are only a few shelters so bring umbrellas (for rain or heat).
It has a long row of sakura trees, numerous rhododendrons and azaleas.
Kurume bowl is gorgeous.
