Dandenong Club

My mother was there today, won the jackpot and was very excited. She is a regular at the Dandenong Club and went up to one of the staff members. She was accussed of touching this individual and was immediately kicked out! Absolutely disgusted at this as she is a known regular and also has Alzeimers.

Service is dreadful we seemed like an inconvenience

We had to ask for our own menus whilst everyone around us was being told the specials of the day and being handed menus.

Jabba at the front door thinks he’s running a Michelin restaurant and looks like he’s paid in meals. I’d be cranky too if I had to shuffle across the pub to lay down all 300kg of his wrath

We have been members for 30 years and used to go to lunch every Sunday but had a few bad experiences and stopped. We were going to the Starkie show (which was great) on Sunday and decided to do lunch in the restaurant. Now to the restaurant! Worst experience ever. Greeting was poor, we arrived early and the girl said "we I will have to move things around" the restaurant never filled the entire time we were there. She plopped us on our table without a courteous word. We ordered a bottle of wine. The waitress brought over two glasses of wine. When we said we ordered a bottle she said "Oh yes that is on the bar". We ordered the food and waited 20 minutes for my meal to come out! The lovely elderly lady sitting next to us got a meal that was supposed to be satay chicken as the waitress even announced it as she put it down. It was definitely not satay as you could smell the curry, which my husband had ordered! The man on the other ladies table has not got his meal and nor has my husband. I then complained about wanting to eat with my husband and that was when they realised they had given my husband's meal to the lady next to us. Waitress came out and was honest with the mistake and took the curry away from the other lady and gave her the satay chicken meal (after 10 minutes). Her guest still has not received his meal. The chicken curry finally comes out to my husband. The poor guest on the table next to us waited an hour for his meal. The food is pub food. The waitresses are not friendly and it is very sad to see the place not full. Dandenong Club look at this restaurant it has gone down hill 80% on when we used to love our Sunday lunches.

Dinner on Valentine's Day with a few friends. My meal was very nice, one of my friend her vegetarian pasta was salty to her, my other friend did not get her fish dish ordered 2 hrs earlier, some of us were unhappy with the service.

Have been going here for years, and staff have the audacity to not work and talk with eachother also discriminating customers! Will be taking this further.

Its our go to when we want a night out. Food fantastic but the service is a bit slow, mains came out in not too bad time but we were told 10 minutes for dessert and it was nearly 30 minutes

We came for dinner on Sunday ordered 3 porterhouses sent one back wasnt cooked they way l asked. Complained about it so we got another one which l have to say all 3 were full of grizzle.
We have coming here for years and found it rather disappointing.

Seniors should be everynight not just selected nights

3 of us for Sunday lunch (18th Sept 2022), while my parents meals were nice, I opted for the 'roast of the day' Roast beef.the vegetables were yummy, fresh, crunchy and cooked just the way I like them, however the beef was tough and bland. Slightly disappointed with my lunch however overall not bad. I would also like to add that the service was also very good and meals were all reasonably priced.

We go each Wednesday evening for the jack attack barefoot bowls with all equipment supplied and finish with a meal and a few beers. A great night out

Food still good but find they and other pubs and clubs have done away with the Seniors meals. Very DISAPPOINTED.

Will revisit with gastro once the jab is fully approved and out of trial.

Really no point writing reviews because they just get deleted anyway!
Went here a few months ago and the security guard was EXTREMELY intimidating and rude. We tried to get in without a license and was stopped by this rude security guard and told to leave. We were talked over and treated extremely poorly.ended up going to Dandenong Pavilion down the road for an enjoyable meal.
I won't be going back here and will certainly make sure my friends and family steer clear aswell.

Great under cover bowling green, can be used all year round, meals are very nice and staff friendly and professional

Amazing food and a great place for hangouts! Had been there for the first time. Liked it and I think I will be going again soon! Couldn't get to bowl yesterday.

Excellent venue. Had our small but enjoyable end of year breakup. From entry to departure every staff member was very friendly corteous and polite the menu on offer was vast my entree and main course was delicious. Ample off street car parking. Our first time there but definetly won't be the last. The Dandenong Club Covid code is also excellent not intrusive but thorough.

Always lovely to visit the D. C, the staff are always friendly and the food in the restaurant very reasonably priced and delicious. Pleasant atmosphere, great place to meet up with family and friends.

My local watering hole for sure! Plenty car parks and friendly staff! There is a super friendly blonde waitress offered help without me asking for it when she saw I was handful with full jug of Carlton and glass for my mate. Simply just nice people! Food tasted awesome with great price!

Hostile staff in gaming area, weird male staff that stare the minute you walk in, not a freindly place to spend time, avoid at all costs
