Dan Murphy's Ascot Vale

Not a bad version of dan murphies, good staff great Range. Recently they have updated the store. Looks really good. Well set out.

Experienced my first ever Penfolds Masterclass with Matteo last Friday night at Dan Murphy’s Ascot Vale and learnt a thing or two about winemaking along with some fantastic tastings offered.
Well worth doing.

I walked in and went to the champagne fridges I was looking for under 30 seconds when a gentleman who works there said can I help yo. I said you can actually I need a bottle of French champagne and 2 bottles of Pinot Noir and had two different names in mind he helped me and offered his valuable and expertises and I was done and back in the car in 7 minutes go Dan Murphy’s Ascot Vale you have a great team all of them are an asset to your business

I’ve attended some of the wine tastings, hosted by Matteo, and I could not be more impressed.
Matteo is so passionate about wine, and genuinely keen to share his knowledge in a very friendly and relaxed environment. He has introduced me to so many beautiful wines that I would never have otherwise found. Highly recommended!

Restocked, renovated and well sorted! Very nice to come to a wine tasting, brows there fantastic range of already fridged craft beers (all chilled and ready to drink)

Just had my best experience ever in an alcohol shop.
Was looking for a new celebratory rum and they had an expert there who talked me through the whole process, let me sample some and was honestly SO ENCOURAGING that I'm a beginner in it all.
Check-out staff were lovely too.

Very cold atmosphere. Lack of staff and wine knowledge. I asked for a wine called Aglianico, he thought it was a white.

This Dan Murphy's is possibly my favourite Dan Murphy's. It's definitely up there in my top ten, and usually I'd go so far as to stay that it's a clear candidate for a top three position. I mean what's not to like about this place? They sell beer, they sell wine, they even sell those tiny packets of over priced peanuts. And if that wasn't enough already, this Dan Murphy's has got to be the closest Dan Murphy's to my place*.

Take note all you other Dan Murphy's, if you want my business then you'll have to be located closer to my place.

*this review was correct at the time of writing. However with a new Dan Murphy's seemingly opening up every other day, the odds are that by the time you come across this review this Dan Murphy's will no longer be the closest Dan Murphy's to my place leaving the above rating highly questionable.

Visited the store pre Christmas, plenty of staff on hand to help. Very attentive staff willing to help you find what you wanted. Good selection and variety.

It is very dangerous going there, they have everything you want and more and you end up walking out with more than what you went for.
Their selection of wine, spirits, bubbles, beer is simply mind boggling. Those who enter, beware!
Then there's customer service, the friendly and helpful staffs' knowledge of the products is simply formidable.

I work for Jimmy brings, and this is the 3rd time I got to pickup order here.

No body answers at the back dock, not sure why.
Every other Dan murphys answers the door under 2 mins.

If I go from the front store, the staff says everyone is at the back dock, please go from back.

Is this because you guys don’t care of online orders? Or is it because you don’t care about the drivers?

Iam writing this review while I’m waiting for some response at the back dock. It’s been more than 15 mins, and I have buzzed for almost 6 times.

My go-to Dan Murphy due to its proximity. The staff have always been very nice. However, after the renovation, it took them a few months to bring most of the products back in and prepare the shelves. Also, it seems to me they had a wider ranger before the renovation. That could be a general change compared to pre-COVID across all their stores though.

I didn’t catch the gentleman’s name, but I received the best service I’ve ever had in a bottle shop here. Supremely helpful and went the extra mile when he didn’t have to. Super appreciate it!

Amazing range. Store is always clean and neat with everything easy to find. Great staff too.

Great custom service.whether it is helping you bring items to your car or refunding unused products.very helpful.always recommend here for larger gatherings or parties.

I used to love going to Dan's with my Da, he & the staff back then always engaed so well; now because I don't always look like a cashed up flog I get a flyover in customer service- while working in retail & hospitality for 20 years I treated everyone the same regardless of how they looked as I assumed that was my job.

Always good prices and fantastic stock. Rarely out of what I need. Dan’s membership is definitely worth having. Great for beer lovers which I am not. But the enormous selection means I usually find something people like. Friendly staff at Ascot Vale, always willing to help.

Staff members lecture drivers about wearing vest although they are not wearing by themselves, pretend that they can't read English, encountered an rascal today unfortunately.
