Daiso Bourke St reviews
44 I’d like to give a suggestion as a consumer of your product. I bought some snacks (sour cream& onion chips) the green packaging and a cracker. After having the sour cream I had an allergic reaction. My two eyes got swollen and I wondered where it was from. The snacks had seafood as an ingredient and the cracker contains crustacea which is type of shellfish. The product should show photo or image of seafood or shellfish contained as no one would have thought it has seafood as it said sour cream and onion. Luckily it was not anaphylaxis but just very close to getting an ambulance here. This should be improved as there may be someone else who has more severe allergies to this.
The ingredients did not say anything about seafood but the containment has seafood in it? This could be life threatening to me and other consumers
Unfortunately could not go into this store as no visible lift for persons with disabilities to access. Will have to shop elsewhere.
What a customer service! Just purchased a pair of socks $3.3 now. When I took out $20 note, I already told the staff I will give her the change. When I took the change out, she told me "sorry too late". What
I knew you are in hurry but customer service is still very important. Listen and care
Mid of the day not sure why so dark in the shop. Easy to find good for value products here.
I was there today at 10 but store was still closed, so i went for breakfast, came back around 10.45 and store was still closed. Opening time should be at 10 if im not wrong so why did store not open for that long?
Staff is friendly and price is cheap
Nice store if you need any weird gadgets from cooking utensils to glasses this has anything. Not so friendly service always rushing past you in a hurry.
Bad costumer service, staff is very rude. If you bring similar goods into their store, you must remember to bring the receipt, otherwise you will be suspected of being a thief, ridiculous
Such a wonderful store! Everything costs $2.80 - and there are literally thousands of products. Love it!
Live Daiso but going to Melbourne is quite the journey, I wish Daiso had a online purchasing option it would definitely be worthwhile for them.
Bad customer service, and they didn't allow exchange without receipt, which i wasn't given to start with! But they do have more range of products so unless I can't find what I need in other stores I would NOT come here
I love Daiso, pity they don't have a store in Canberra, I always visit when I am in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane. Loads of bargains and well organised and laid out - much more well organised than the usual $2 shops, Daiso is far superior to those places it is not really fair to make the comparison. I always get a toy for my dogs, a stationery item, something from beauty/bathroom supplies and some neat little gadget or pretty bowl.
I love going to this store because the sales staff are friendly, and there are many things from Japan that can be bought from this shop.
One of the best discount stores in Melbourne, can be a little hard to find tucked away in this location.
Went usually to the one in highpoint but this one is my first time. It soo big and lots of stuff.
I’m enjoying shopping around here but it little bit hard to find the place as it is underground level.
Please note that the effective store closing hour is 5pm during week days. The store manager started not letting people in around that time. I would suggest they should open around 11: 30 am - 6: 30pm during the week days so people have time to go to the store.
I generally avoid discount stores due to the huge amount of plastic waste they generate but I went in for an onigiri mould and found what I wanted.
The item I wanted to purchase was under their 'eftos minimum'. I hadn't brought any cash. I offered to pay a surcharge to cover whatever costs they incurred via eftpos transaction. They refused. The manager suggested that I simply pay double for the item to get above their minimum eftpos amount. What an absolutely ridiculous policy and a terrible shopping experience. I won't be back. For them to stubbornly refuse to just add a surcharge was infuriating.
Its worth noting that this occurred during the covid pandemic, where other stores have swapped to exclusively offering contactless payment.
One of the biggest Daiso branches but I feel their stocks variety has decreased a little. Probably due to Covid.
They have large food section too but not sure why there's "Eat Asia" brand on the wall. Feels like a different business.
Daiso kept customers behind closed doors and treated customers very rudely today without informing its customers that it would open at 11: 00 a.m. Instead of 10: 30 a.m. The store employee Calvin also spoke very rudely to his customer.
You can find cute and practical items unexpectedly in Daiso and spend time strolling around the store without any interference from their staff.
