The re-decoration is based on the positioning. It is very happy and comfortable to eat. It is especially suitable for bringing children. There are side dishes and hot desserts and fruit popsicles in the snack area. Children love them very much. The most important thing is that the price is reasonable and the CP value is higher than going to Haidilao.

The environment is very good, the food is also great, Miss Albee is super nice ~ her work attitude is very serious, the boss wants to add chicken drumsticks to her! ! !

We've become regulars at Dainty Sichuan in Box Hill, primarily because of the exceptional service, especially from Ivy. The recent renovation at the Box Hill branch has made the dining experience even more enjoyable. The fresh barramundi and combo meat offer was a fantastic deal for a limited time period. Additionally, the condiment area now boasts a greater variety of dips, snacks, and ice creams. It's truly a great value for money, offering both excellent food and outstanding service.

First time here, staff can't help you in English, which doesn't really matter, but there was a strategy to bring little items that we didn't order so we ended up spending $110/person.
No broth is worth that much! Thank you, not for me!

There are many choices of side dishes, and they are all delicious. The soup base is ok, not so fragrant and not so spicy. The pork slice is good, the Shrimp Meatballs is delicious, the overall environment is beautiful!

This is by far my favourite Hot Pot, and thankfully it's not too far from me. The ingredients are always fresh, the staff are helpful and friendly, and the range is quite good, so be ready to swallow the bill.

Fresh Barramundi in chilli, Sichuan, pepper and cumin - The price of the fresh fish depends on the size. I requested the smallest size available for two person and the attendant came back to me, with the living fish trying to breathe in a net, for approval. Cost us $69 for the fish.
It was not very spicy, just about right. Absolutely amazing. Little oily though. 4.5/5.

Mushroom and Sichuan pepper hot pot (pic not available) - They first told us that we have to order two hotpots for two people because I was ordering only one mini hotpot. I had to explain to first the attendant and then her boss that we are getting a whole fish dish and then just one hot pot is enough for us. The boss asked the chef and then they agreed.
I ordered vegetable platter and enoki mushroom for the hotpot, I received basket of mushrooms and enoki mushroom on side. If I knew that we will get just mushrooms for vegetable platter then I wouldn't have ordered enoki mushroom on side. We couldn't finish the mushrooms cause it was all to much. 3/5 for the hotpot.

Ambience and service - 4.5/5

Our favourite hotpot restaurant that makes cooking hotpot fun and tasty. Good prices for sliced meats, and a large range of meats, including fish, pork, lamb and beef. Great sweet treats like pumpkin cake and fried mantou with sweet dipping sauce. Doesn't seem to get too busy, but best to book - online or via phone. The hot soup is really spicy. Good range of dipping sauces.

I had a lunch with my friends the other day. Even though there was a minor mistake in one dish that we ordered, the staff worked it out with chef and at the end they offered a second option to address the issue. Recommended!

Service is not available sometimes. Food is okay, but overpriced if compared with the nearby hotspot suppliers. I like their sauces but there are not so many options to choose from

Meat quality was good, quite expensive but it was definitely worth the money. Would recommend coming here once in a while. Customer service was also not bad, they help you clean up tables and refill hot water.

One of my go to places in Melbourne for a quality hotpot experience. Clean atmosphere, amazing staff and excellent food. Highly recommended for anyone.

With so many hot pot restaurants now springing up everywhere, it can be difficult to distinguish one from the other, especially as the formula is very similar. This place offers a good variety of dipping sauces, base soups and the ingredients taste fresh. Service is very efficient with our waiters constantly topping up soups and cleaning the mess around our individual burners. As in most hotpots, best experienced with a group of friends, as the fun is mainly in the cooking. Should mention that our Box Hill experience is more pleasant than the one at Dainty CBD, who were a bit brusque and rushed us to leave.

Had been granted vouchers to use by the restaurant.
Called prior to dining to confirm the usage if the vouchers and was advised that a minimum spend of $100 would allow the use of a maximum of 4x vouchers.
Upon payment was told that I was only allowed to use one voucher per $100 spent.
Gross miscommunication.

The staff made wrong recommendation. We ordered a lot. The staff said: ‘You did not order this and that. ’ We clearly ordered too much as waste. I wish they consider from our side. Me and my friend’s stomach don’t fell well the next day.

It's a great experience - my guests from overseas loved it. One star taken off because of chipped crockery
