Curtain Square reviews
33Beautiful gardens large old trees kids play area surrounded by attractive terrace houses city views village feel family friendly feel. Cafes nearby.
Nice park, not too big but with grass, big trees, zones with shade, 3 playgrounds, public toilet, basket court and a zone for dogs.
A wonderful park for children, well set out and open. With lots of shade with trees and sail clothes covering the play areas.
Big area, some shade, shops near by for food and ice cream, little kids play area also bigger kids area. Toilets and drinking fountain so had everything would need for a few hours out playing.
Covid 19 severely restricts one, so a good walk is something I really enjoy. I regularly pass the square, and go in and sit in the sun, and watch others doing something similar
There are plenty of benches, so keeping ' distanced', is not a problem.
No good on a warm day. It's a lovely enough park with basketball courts and a play ground but the council could do with getting their finger out and turning on the water to the fountain that was installed months ago.
Great sqaure and park. It is fully fenced which is good if you have kids. My kids love it here. Great variety of playground equipment. Good space for throwing and kicking the ball around. There is a gorgeous gazebo lined with roses, in the centre of the park which is good for sunny or rainy days. There are seats, public toilets and parking available.
This is a great park.
Kids love the playground, dogs love the dog park, and everyone has a great time!
It's a well loved park, and has lots of different areas for whatevrr your park needs are!
Love this little square, nice in summer to chill in the grass, playground and enclosed doggie area.
Great variety of play equipment and as a parent you can have a great overview for several spots where you can sit.or why not join in because most equipment allows us big kids to fit as well
Curtain Square Park, between Rathdowne and Canning Streets. I found the Park looks after lots of individual, family's and Catine (Dogs) lovers. This Park has Sectioned off as follows: 1/ For Children's Playground, Family's and individual's can seat back enjoy look at the environment, while others also enjoying them self. 2/
Specialized area for Catine (Dogs), They able to play with their owners or they can play with other Catine (Dogs) friends should they wish to play with and owners throw balls, and chase and collect and return to who has throw the balls. When I see Catine playing in this way, it's beautiful to see and touched my heart that the Owners Love their Special Catine (Dogs) Friend.in
Great park with a great amount of open areas with walk ways. The play area is great for the young ones. There is a good number of trees to sit under and relax. Also has a public toilet if required.
I love the park, I hate the dog park. Firstly this place is too small. For the amount of people that can potentially use it at one time, the amount of space isn’t enjoyable. Considering this is inner city living, there should be more room to accommodate the need for dogs that most likely have a very small amount of room in their backyard. Furthermore, people do not clean up after their dogs, nor do they care about the fact that it’s used by other people and dogs. The amount of times, I’ve been to this place and have had to leave because my dog has been humped on by another dog, or I get slobbered on by another dog is far too many times. I don’t see why dogs shouldn’t be allowed off their leash in other parts of the park. I think people would be responsible enough to keep their dog under control or at least be allowed to go there at certain times when there are less people. I could say so much more.honestly there just needs to be less restrictions in this area for dog owners.
