CURRY STAR INDIAN RESTAURANT reviews
77Had food on 30.01.2024. The man at counter was so excellent with his service.very polite and helpfull.
Had lunch it was real tasty and real indian taste and i will specially thanks chef preeti who cooked amritsari kulcha for us highly recommended
Amazing food especially aloo Paranthas and tea, perfect combo. Reminded us of authentic Indian flavour.
We are three went for buffet, the buffet arrangements were good and the food was great but, unfortunately they are failed to maintain the hygiene in the kitchen…i found two hairs in my rice and i have shown the hair to the front staff, then she called the chef from the kitchen to show the hair to her she claimed that she prepared only curries and she followed the hygiene instructions and wore a headband to cover the her hair…so, there is another chef who’s probably responsible to prepare the rice who’s not following the standard hygiene instructions properly…. So, overall a food is nothing without good hygiene….
Amritsari Kulcha and Chole Bhature was amazing. 10/10, owner is very welcoming and polite. Will definitely visit again. Strongly recommended.
Best amritsari kulcha in the town. If you’re a fan of punjabi traditional food this is go to place. Highly recommended
We visited this restaurant with family very good service and staff was very nice there punjabi food was delicious
I visited at curry star with my family many time. Amritsari kulcha chholey, bhature chholey, vegetarian nd non vegetarian food all tried here. So yummy food all time.good service, reasonable prices, good quality nd quantity too.me nd my family loved it too much. Highly recommend
Beautiful service, beautiful food and an unforgettable night. Remember, ask for the HSP or Pizza from the secret menu
Used to be good but the past take aways i had was terrible. The tandoori chicken was overcooked and dry to taste, not juicy anymore. Also the saffron rice was also dry and needed more water during cooking it was not pleasant to eat.
My partner and I go to the Curry Star, on average once a week. Sometimes we go there for their buffet lunch - where they have a variety of 7 or 8 different menu items that you can help yourself to. At dinner time there is many yummy items on the menu. We've only ever dinned in. We love it here! The staff are so friendly and nice, gorgeous people really!
My favourite Indian restaurant in Ballarat, amazing lunchtime special!
Always great food, friendly service.
We ordered Egg Dum Biryani, Chiken tikka and chilli gobi. All were made spicy and hot. The kitchen was closed as it was late, lady at the counter was kind enough to accommodate last order. They prepared everything fresh, and was served hot. Defintely recommend this place for some spicy options.
Inconsistent food and service. Management don't seem to care. There are plenty of other options so I won't be putting myself through this ordeal again.
Really bad food, no taste at all. The management should keep minimum standard when they serve food like that. Would never recommend anyone and the worst Indian restaurant in Ballarat.
Used to be good but the past few takeaways this year have been of poor standards. In the last few orders, the "biryani" was somewhat morphing into a "pulao" with obviously different taste.
It's sad that they couldn't maintain the quality despite the price increases. I provided feedback to the owner whose response was along the lines of "Well, I have sold 20 of these today" and "We now make it a bit different because of recent customer's request". Own it and make it up to your customer!
Consistency is key and it's clear that to some businesses customer loyalty and repeat business are not at all a priority!
Just ordered lunch. They put the prices up $5 so paid $15. Received 2 small pieces of chicken in a tasteless butter chicken.
Used to be quite good for takeaway but wouldn't recommend now. Service has been terrible lately also
We did takeaway from here. Food was good and well priced too. I'd like to try all you can eat next time
Had a lovely dinner at Curry Star with friends on a Friday night. Welcoming staff. Although we had a booking we were able to choose our table so chose one away from an opening door as it was a cold night. Food was great, mixed entree each, chicken korma and butter chicken, coconut rice to share. As it is licensed we had beers and wine. Great night.
Had the lunch specials - all had good flavours and generous. Also had an "Indian food" section where all supplies for at home cooking of Indian food is found.
