Cupcakes by Paolo

Ordered 50 mini cupcakes for my engagement party.
We had Red Velvet, Choc Malt, Cookies and Cream, Strawberry and Pandan.
All of the cakes were fan-fricken-tastic! Moist, delicious and well priced!
I wish I was able to get a picture but they were eaten so quickly:)

The girls have always been lovely and friendly, we come here to support a small local bakery that offers great cupcakes for staff birthdays. Staff love them and fight for the yam flavour. We recommend you go and try there cupcakes and support a small family run bakery. For small occasions.

We got a mixed dozen for a birthday and everyone loved them. Fluffy, moist and fresh and soo good- there was none left over. Will definitely be back

The cupcakes here are always so good! I haven't tried a bad one yet Lovely service and even better it won't break the bank for such a tasty treat.

Cupcakes are second to none. The coffee used to be pretty great but it's now bitter, poorly mixed and under sweetened.

Used to be an essential stop I'd go out of my way for. Now if I'm driving by I'll pop in.

Shame.

The cupcakes were much better in the past, but unfortunately are now very cheap tasting alongside not being fresh.

Having had enough of cake chains and their bland rainbow cakes and dry tortes, we tried Paolo's - which appears as a tiny cake and coffee shop on Ashley st. What we discovered was our new go to cake shop. Cupcakes have interesting, unique flavours - from traditional to need to try. Rock up spontaneously and all flavours are available.

I ordered theses cupcakes a variety for my 2 friends during lockdown, they both loved them, said they were delicious:) service was fantastic I was notified and even sent a photo of proof of delivery. Highly recommended ordering again for fathers day thankyou

I was looking last minute for cupcakes for a friend's birthday, this was the only place that was open after 2pm on a Sunday in my area. The shop is easy to locate but there is limited parking space.
The shop sells 20 cupcake flavours, which seems a lot but most of them have the same base, just different cream on top. The taste was OK, the cake was moist. Each flavour comes in 2 sizes, big ones are $3.50 each, small ones are $2 each. They are slightly cheaper if you buy multiple.

Probably the best cupcake I’ve ever had. So light and fluffy. And priced very reasonably. Will drive from east Melbourne just for these. Lovely service and owners.

Don’t bother ordering anything custom from this bakery. I ordered a dozen cupcakes for a friends birthday, they look absolutely terrible like they were made by children. I am too embarrassed to give them to the person that was supposed to recieve them.

These cupcakes were not cheap
They are all different sizes and the image that was supposed to be on them you can’t even tell what it is.

This is the BEST cupcake shop I've ever been to! I was greeted by the lovely and cheerful owner of the store, and the store was whaffling with a heavenly smell of cupcakes. The cupcakes were unbelieveably DREAMY and tasty. Yes, I completely ruined my diet by devouring 6 of them, but it was 100% worth it! All of the cupcake bases were light, sponge-y, moist and flavourful.

The cupcakes are just the perfect sweetness, unlike other shops that make you sick with too much sugar. The Passion Pavlova and Purple Yam were my favourites.

You can just see the love and passion the bakers of this little family-owned business put into their cupcakes. The cupcakes are so much more affordable than any other shops I've been to. Just do yourself a favour right now and get a box of cupcakes from here!

Delicious cupcakes, especially the traditional Filipino purple yam flavour. Staff was very friendly.

Always a treat when I drop into Cupcakes by Paolo. The range of cupcakes will suit so many tastes. Well make coffee.

Pros: Cute little boutique cupcake with a inviting ambience and the server was very helpful and informative with recommendations.

Cons: Out of the 4 cupcakes I bought, the only one I liked was the Yam purple cake for the unique flavour. However the cakes themselves were pretty average & dry. They tasted like the cake mixture came out of a pre mix. I had expected it to taste as if it was made of scratch for a store specializing cupcakes and when each cost about $3.50.

I would still recommend this store, seeing that I’m in the minority amid other glowing reviews.
