C.T. Barling Reserve reviews
14It's a beautiful place for a walk. The grass is so lush and green, it's so well maintained.
When allocated ground as a training facility and no toilets available I think that is pretty ordinary especially when there is approximately 60 people on site.
Great place to walk and play with my dog milo and easy access to the walking trails along the creek
Perfect size circuit for a walk and jog. The terrain could be tough for mobility vehicles but still accessible. The scene changes every 100mts and you can hear the water flowing in some sections.
The parks in the north are quite good, it's time to make the paths wider so bikes and people can share without the worry of been knocked over.
One of the best cricket grounds I've played club cricket at! Ample parking space available when family around to watch the game.
Had a few lovely experiences in C. T. Barling Reserve on Darebin Creek. There is a Parkrun there which I have done a few times, including on New Years Day 2018, which was a double that day with Coburg. I have also run through the whole park whilst running the Darebin Creek Trail. The park is beautifully set out and well maintained by Council. There are many places to lie and soak up some sun as well as kick a football around.
Cricket pitch on top West oval needs new carpet for whole pitch after only half was done for start of cricket season leading to lots of unpredictable bounce at both ends.
Darebin Parkrun is held here every Saturday morning from 7.50 am and is free and available to all walkers, joggers, runners.
Just turn up and join our fun community.
The only concerns are the lack of drinking fountains and suitable toilets for all parkusers.
The ovals, paths, cricket nets etc are well maintained.
Take our gorgeous little whippet down here for a run everyday. Great place to kick a ball, talk about life and admire some grass.
Upper oval needs a proper score board especially if they are choosing this ground for finals in junior footy which they did this year and when all the standard season games are played at ovals that have professional looking scoreboards it really is a step backwards playing here. The wind here too can be very bad as it comes straight through over plenty road with little obstacles in the way to slow the wind down. Please don't use this ground again for any finals games in 2020. There is no advantage for anyone to play at this park over finals.
I don't know much about the reserve but I use the trail to do parkrun here sometimes. It's a well maintained trail to walk/run/ride along.
3 huge ovals, public toilets, canteen and nice and nice distance in from the road.it's huge area between the 3 grounds. Good at night as abit of light from the canteen/toilet area is lit up brightly so you can see one of the ovals enough to throw the ball for the dog!
Great place to walk the dogs. Follow the nearby creek towards Northland, generally low traffic and well forested.
