Csv Crash Supplies reviews
7The team is helpful and accommodating. Have everything ready when I need it. Cristina is helpful and really kind to deal with. Range of cheap and expensive products which i think is good.
I have purchased around $1600 worth of supplies from CSV over the last 18 months or so and while the prices have generally been pretty good and the customer support has been ok, there have been a few annoying issues.
I went in and spoke with one of their sales people saying I wanted to prime a car which was a mix of bare metal, existing primer and some filler so was advised to use an epoxy primer. They sold me some Cromax Epoxy primer/hardener but failed to mention it needs to be mixed with Cromax specific epoxy thinner. Meaning when I went to paint on the weekend I didn't have the supplies I needed. Not fully blaming CSV for this, but considering they are experts you would think its worth mentioning at the time of sale.
Secondly, I purchased some 2K paint (The expensive/premium brand) which they mixed incorrectly. When I added the hardener and painted the vehicle it left small pock marks in the surface, meaning I had to sand back the entire area and re-prepare to paint again. I went back to CSV who did replace the paint (which is good), but they did the same mistake again. Now this wasn't my error as just adding the paint and hardener directly into a brand new mixing cup (that I purchased from CSV) caused the paint to "bubble" (as seen in the picture)
(So it wasn't like there was an issue on my end, I was using a $900 paint gun that was setup correctly, had multiple brand new air filters/driers inline etc)
Again they replaced the paint with some that worked, but I had to sand the vehicle down twice due to their mistake. So in the end it took me 6 weeks and a whole extra bunch of effort to get the vehicle painted, whereas had they mentioned I needed specific thinners and mixed the 2k properly it would have been 2 weekends worth of work.
No offer to replace the sandpaper and other supplies I had to use fixing their mistake and no offer of discount on additional paint supplies I wanted to purchase. I get mistakes happen and sometimes things don't work exactly as planned, but if a business makes multiple mistakes that impact a repeat customer you would think there would be a little effort to try and make up for it.
Anyway, if you are a professional painter with heaps of experience and knowledge and JUST need supplies cheaply, they are ok to deal with. However if you are looking for guidance and advice, perhaps not the best company to use.

Brilliant service above and beyond. Took on a supplier who kept sending us out of date adhesive and won, getting us product with a great use-by date. If only more suppliers were as good as Jeff at CSV!
Would rate higher if I could, amazing service and fast turn around on the product I needed
