Crosstown Soundstudio (Rehearsal & Recording)

Crosstown has really great sized rehearsal rooms that sound really good and are probably underpriced when compared to other studios that offer similar sized rooms.
One of my bands recorded there recently and the recording facilities are amazing. The tracking room is huge and well built. Josh the owner/engineer really knows how to utilize the room to pull the best sound. As an engineer, Josh is so easy to work with too. From my experience and the experience of others I know that have recorded at Crosstown, Josh has a really great understanding of how to achieve the sound the artist is looking for, but is laid back and confident enough to accommodate any suggestions or desires the artist has, or wants to try.
I highly recommend putting Crosstown on your list if you're looking for a place to rehearse or record.

Rehearsal rooms are quite common in Melbourne, being it has alot of 'musicians'. This one has air-conditioning that I don't think works that well, but this is preparation for hitting the stage for real and encountering what is known by professional musicians as 'gig butt'. Recommended.
